教学目标
通过本课的学习，学生能够： 通过听力和阅读，获取有关地点的关键信息并利用目标词汇和句型进行简单的问路和指路对话； 基于图片线索推断词义，并结合具体情境整理和输出目标语言 将文章中有关问路和指路的关键句型进行分类整理和总结 以“help Helen read maps”做为主线，学会以英语作为交流的工具来帮助他人
教学内容
教学重点：引导学生通过完成“Help Helen read maps”的主线任务，学会在具体情境中问路和指路 教学难点：降低线上教学学生的参与难度，提高课堂互动性
教学过程
Step1: Lead in ① Ask Ss “Where do you want to go and what do you want to do after Corona virus ” ② Introduce my friend Helen to students (an old lady who loves travelling but has problem in reading maps) Step 2: Presentation and listening ① Present and learn the new words about places by guessing from the pictures given. ② Go over and learn the new words by listening and completing the instructions, such as “between… and…” “turn left/ right”, “go along…”, “ go across…”etc ③ Understanding the news and instructions better by identifying the correct picture. Students can also check if they have already grasp the meaning of the new words and structure. Step 3: Pair-work Make a dialogue about asking and giving directions. A map and some key structures are provided to help students make the dialogue, such as : -Is there a … near here /Can you tell me the way to… /Could you tell me how to get to… - Go/Walk along…/Cross… /Turn left/right… /It’s on your right…. Step4: Listening Pre-listening: Talk about Beijing, and learn about some famous places of Beijing, such as Tian’anmen Square, Wangfujing Dajie, the national stadium, the Olympic Sports Centre. While-listening a. Listen and choose - which places does Helen want to go to b. Listen and draw the route on the map. c. Mark the places on the map. d. Read and check the route and places. Step 5: Post-listening ①. Read after the audio and underline the structures used to ask and giving directions. ②. Summarize the key structures. ③. Prepare to be the guide for Helen. Make a dialogue about giving directions in Quzhou.
