RICHARD: Not too bad.
I think I passed in English and Mathematics.
The questions were very easy.
How about you, Gary
GARY: The English and Maths papers weren't easy enough for me.
I hope I haven't failed.
RICHARD: I think I failed the French paper.
I could answer sixteen of the question.
They were very easy.
But I couldn't answer the rest.
They were too difficult for me.
GARY: French test are awful, aren't they
RICHARD: I hate them.
I'm sure I've got a low mark.
GARY: Oh, cheer up! Perhaps we didn't to do badly.
The guy next to me wrote his name at the top of the paper.
RICHARD: Yes
GARY: Then he sat there and looked at it for three hours!

③enough 足够的，修饰形容词时，放在后面

①sixteen指代sixteen questions。
②of the questions作定语，修饰sixteen。
③the rest指代the rest questions。

反义词：at the bottom of 在……末端

四、重要语法
辨析enough和too
1）enough 的用法
①用在形容词或副词之后，此时enough adv. 足够
He failed the exam because it wasn’t easy enough. 他考试不及格，因为题不够容易。
②用在名词之前，此时enough adj. 足够的
He didn’t buy the car because he didn’t have enough money. 他没买那部车，因为他没有足够的钱。
③用在enough … for sb./sth. “对……足够……”和enough … to do sth. 结构之中，“足够……做……”
She hasn’t got enough money for a holiday. 她没有足够的钱去度假。
This dress isn’t big enough for her. 这件衣服对她来说不够大。
She’s not old enough to live alone. 她未到独自生活的年纪。
2）too的用法
①too表示“过于”：
I can’t go out. It’s too hot. 我无法外出，太热了。
She couldn’t answer the questions because they were too difficult for her. 她无法回答问题，因为对她来说太难了。
②用在too … for sb./sth. 结构中，“对……太……”
This skirt is too big for me. 这条裙子对她来说太大了。
③用在too … to do sth. 结构中，“太……而不能……”
The exam was too difficult for him to pass. 考试太难了，他无法通过。
The box is too heavy for you to carry. 这个盒子太沉了，你太不起来。
3）enough和too互换
The wall is too high for them to climb over. 这墙太高了，他们无法攀越过去。
The wall isn’t low enough for them to climb over. 这墙不够低，他们攀越不过去。
