As a volunteer teacher, I traveled a long way to a small village school in Longzhou, Guangxi. On my way there, I thought about the village, the school, and the children there. However, my heart sank when I arrived there. It wasn't what I expected. It didn't look like a school at all! Going Green Starts with Small Things
Everyone can make small changes in lifestyle and make a difference to reduce pollution and waste. In my daily life, I usually take a bus instead of taking a car, which promotes a low-carbon life. In order to save electricity, I always turn off the lights immediately when I leave the house and the classsroom. Besides, I always do my best to save the water aand food in daily life, such as reusing the rice water to water the flowers.
As we all know, the electricity, water and food are all important and necessary resources for us to live. What’s more, they are limited, so we do have the responsibility to save them.
I’m very happy and proud that more and more people join me to make our environment better. Going green starts with small things. Let’s take actions from now on.
