教材分析 Unit 3 presents various celebrations through different forms of discourse. The unit is intended to guide students to understand celebrations of traditional Chinese and foreign festivals, compare the similarities and differences between Chinese and foreign traditional festivals, and explore the value and significance of Chinese and foreign traditional festivals on cultural identity and heritage. After learning this unit, students will apply what they have learned to describing special occasions, traditional Chinese festivals and culture, and strengthen their cultural confidence and national pride. The whole unit presents the topic from different angles by listening, speaking, reading, writing and viewing. 年 级 高三
学情分析 Students roughly know content of celebrations but cultural and emotional connotations of festivals remain to be explored. Besides, they have known basic rules for attending special occasions in the west and they are eager to know ways of behaviors and dealing with others from different cultures.
教学目标 1.Obtain and fill in celebration activities of Spring Festival and Christmas. 2.Analyse the structure of a celebration event. 3.Master the important words and their derivatives in this unit. 4.Classify the important words into three types---action, emotion, and setting, and apply them to a mini-continuation writing. 5.Review the important sentence patterns in this unit and put them into a mini-practical writing.
教学重难点 1.Identify the meaning of Spring Festival to Chinese people and analyse its emotional and cultural connotations. 2.Evaluate and explore emotional connotation of Christmas: family ties. 3.Have a good command of the important words and their derivatives in this unit. 4.Appreciate and explore the use of vocabulary and sentence patterns in the mini-continuation writing and mini-practical writing.

Step 1: Revision of the textbook 1.T briefly introduces the structure of Unit 3. 2.T leads Ss to review Lesson 1 and Lesson 3. Elicit the answers from Ss and refer to the electronic textbook for correct answers. 3.T leads Ss to review Writing Workshop and asks Ss to vote for the right order of the text. 4.T draws the mind map for writing about a celebration. 1.Ss listen and understand the subjects of Unit 3. 2.Ss give the answers by pressing the button and being chosen at random. 3.Ss put the headings in correct order and have a vote. Step 2: Revision of vocabulary 1.T invites two Ss to play a word game on the board. 2.T elicits the correct derivatives from Ss and writes on the board. 3.T invites one S to classify the vocabulary into three types---action, emotion and setting. 4.T leads Ss to read the vocabulary. 5.T leads Ss to review the usages of important vocabulary and elicits the answers from Ss. 6.T presents the vocabulary bank and asks Ss to finish a mini-continuation writing. 7.T patrols and uses the pad to record Ss’ writing. 8.T chooses one S’s writing and asks Ss to correct it together. 9.T sends the model essay to Ss through pad. 1.Ss watch the game and think about the derivatives. 2.Ss spell the correct derivatives. 3.Ss watch the game and think about the classification. 4.Ss read the vocabulary after T. 5.Ss give the answers by being chosen at random. 6.Ss choose proper vocabulary from the bank and fill in the mini-continuation writing according to the para. in the box. 7.Ss have a discussion and finish the writing. 8.Ss read and correct the writing. 9.Ss save and read the model essay after class. 1.用希沃白板5,进行森林运用会游戏;用畅言智慧课堂教学系统,进行词语分类游戏。寓教于乐,学生在游戏中巩固本单元的重点单词、派生和分类,激发学习动力。 2.用畅言智慧课堂教学系统,结合教师平板和学生平板,进行随机选人答活动。及时发现和纠正学生的错误,帮助学生巩固本单元重点词汇的用法。 3.用希沃白板5呈现本单元重点词汇;用畅言智慧课堂教学系统,呈现读后续写段落;用教师平板推送写作任务至学生平板,进行全班作答活动;用希沃白板5倒计时功能,限定作答时间;用教师平板和学生平板,进行屏幕巡视和拍照作答活动;用畅言智慧教学系统,展示学生答案,带领学生集体批阅;用教师平板,完成截屏分享。学生在有限的时间内高质量地完成写作任务,教学效率高;检验重点词汇复习效果并及时反馈;全面监控课堂情况,方便课堂管理。
