教材分析
本课是一节听力课，听力内容主要介绍了两个受访问的年青人对参加各种聚会/特殊活动的具体建议，如正式聚会和非正式聚会的着装、送礼、待人接物等方面的区别。
教学目标
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
1. 梳理和记住参加不同聚会/特殊场合的建议；
2. 就各种场合下的着装、送礼、待人接物等方面给出合理建议。
教学重难点

1. 从对话中获取关键信息并梳理结构框架。
2. 通过对参加聚会注意事项的介绍和分享，帮助学生更好地应对各种不同的聚会/特殊场合，并给出合理建议。
【教学难点】
用所学知识对各种不同的聚会/特殊场合尤其是英美国家等的聚会给出合理建议。
教学过程
Step 1 Review & Warming-up
1. Recall the different special occasions mentioned in the previous classes.
2. Decide whether the following parties are formal (F) or informal (I).
3. Put a tick (√) or a cross (x) next to the following Dos and Don’ts for party behaviours.
设计意图：1）头脑风暴回顾各种值得庆祝的特殊场合，引导学生区分正式场合/正式聚会和非正式场合/非正式聚会；同时帮助学生辨别在聚会时什么事情该做，什么事情不应该做，以做到言行举止合乎社交礼仪规范。2）创设情景，激活学生已有的生日聚会背景知识，帮助将要参加聚会的学生解决具体问题。
Step 2 Listening
1. Listen to an interview about plete the information about party advice.
设计意图：在明确听力技巧“Listening for specific information”的基础上，学生通过听访谈节目，记录正式聚会和非正式聚会的不同注意事项。
2. Complete the following sentences about party advice.
设计意图：检查学生是否注意到听力材料中的对聚会中社交礼仪的具体要求。
3. Listen again and answer the questions.
设计意图：听取并记录关键信息和具体细节，回答关于聚会的相关问题。
Step 3 Speaking
Li Zhen is an exchange student who has just gone to the UK for a few days. He met a new classmate David from London, who invited him to his party. As this is Li Zhen’s first time to attend a party in the UK, he needs some advice from you. What advice would you like to offer
设计意图：利用所学，帮助在英国学习的交换生Li Zhen解决外国朋友邀请参加聚会的问题。
Step 4 Assignment
Organize your advice to Li Zhen into a short passage. Try to use some newly-learnt expressions and information in your writing.
设计意图：将小组间的聚会交流建议整理成文，学生在写作中需要用到目标词汇和语法得体地表达自己的观点和看法。

教材分析
本课是一节听说课，听力是两个对话，一个独白。第一段对话是关于高中毕业聚会的表示庆祝的话题。独白是代表高三学生向老师、家长、亲朋好友致谢的发言。第二段对话发生在毕业典礼上，恭贺和感谢并存。口语是表达祝贺和感谢。
教学目标
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
了解在毕业聚会和典礼上如何表达庆祝和感谢，并能结合所学输出一段答谢词（代表年级学生发表演讲致谢等）。
教学重难点

1. 学生能够掌握在毕业聚会和典礼上如何表达庆祝和感谢。
2. 能够运用所学，在毕业聚会或典礼上发表致谢词。
【教学难点】
能运用所学知识，发表简短的关于如何庆祝或答谢的演讲。
教学过程
Step 1 Review & Pre-listening
1. What did we learn in the last lesson
2. What do we need to prepare and take into consideration
3. List some situations where you would congratulate people and / or give thanks.
设计意图：帮助学生回顾上一节课所学的关于各种聚会的建议，同时引导学生思考有那些场合值得庆祝和感谢的。
Step 2 Listening
1. Listen and identify the situations.
设计意图：听取关键信息，根据听力内容和语言判断在何种场合发生的聚会/典礼。
2. Listen again and complete the information in the table.
设计意图：学习在毕业聚会和毕业典礼上如何表达庆祝和感谢，完成表格任务的填写。
3. Listen again and complete the Talk Builder.
设计意图: 学生在语境中填入具体的庆祝和感谢表达，加深理解。
Step 3 Talking
1. More ways to say congratulations, respond to congratulations, and to give thanks.
设计意图: 拓展更多与庆祝和感谢相关的表达。
2. Make sentences using the given words for each situation.
设计意图: 根据图片和提示词，完成祝贺和感谢的句子。
Step 4 Presentation
1. You have been invited by your junior secondary school to give an English speech to the graduating students. Prepare a short speech for their graduation ceremony. Use the expressions in the Talk Builder to help you.
2. Take turns giving your speech using appropriate stress and intonation.
设计意图: 利用所学，联系实际，在初中毕业生典礼上给初三毕业生做一个简短的庆祝他们毕业的发言。
Step 5 Assignment
Organize your graduation speech into a short passage. Then share it online.
Use as many newly-learnt expressions (congratulating and giving thanks) as possible in your writing.
设计意图：根据所学知识，梳理演讲内容，完善各自的毕业演讲稿。
