单元学情分析 This chapter is talking about the activities they can do. The pupils like actions very much, and the words are short. So I think the pupils can read and master the new words well. But the sentences Can you.... and What can you do are a little challenge for them. So we should practise more.
单元学习目标 Use modals to talk about abilities E.g. I can swim. I can't read. 2. Use modals to seek information E.g. Can you skip Can she read a book Use imperatives to give instructions* E.g. Spell your name, please. 3. Use adverbs to express similar opinions* E.g. She can jump high too. 4. Use connectives to link contrasting ideas. E.g. We can't run in the race but we can help. Use formulaic expressions to express encouragement* E.g Well done,Coco!

2.自主学习 1. Look at the words and make sentences by self. 2. Look at the pictures and then say the words and sentences. 3. Listen and read Part A, then answer the questions. 4. Try to complete Part B. Show them the words about actions and then let the pupils use I can... I can’t.... to make sentences. Show them some pictures and let the pupils guess What can they do Let them say the word, sentences according to the pictures. Play the bubbles and read the contents of Part A by themselves. Ask them to think about what can they do and what can’t they do Let them finish Part B by self. Mobilize the students’ ability of self study. 10
3.合作学习 1. Read the words in groups. 2. Read Part A together and then discuss the answers in groups. 3. Finish Part B and then check the answers. Ask the pupils to work in groups and then read the words together. Read the contents of Part A, work in groups and discuss the answers of the questions. Ask them to finish Part B first and then check the answers in groups. Exercise their ability of group work. 15
