Now paper still comes from trees. We use a lot of paper every day. If we keep on wasting so much paper, there will not be any trees left on the earth. Every day, people throw away about 28,000 tons of paper in our city. It takes 17 trees to make one ton of paper. This means that we are cutting down nearly 476,000 trees every day. So how can we save paper We can use both sides of every piece of paper when we are taking notes. Do not use paper cups. It is better to use china cups, because they can be used many times. When we go shopping, we should take our own cloth bags and try to use fewer paper bags. We can also buy more products such as recycled paper to help save trees. Last but not least, try to recycle paper. Old books can be recycled to make new books or new writing paper.

I couldn’t believe it! But my taxi driver just smiled at him. So I asked, “Why did you just do that You almost sent us to hospital.”
After this man left, my taxi driver told me “The Law of the Rubbish Truck(垃圾车法则).” He explained that many people are like rubbish trucks. They run around full of rubbish, full of anger and full of bad feelings. As their rubbish piles up(堆积如山), they look for a place to throw it away and sometimes they’ll throw it at you.

2. We know that everyone yawns in the same way. First you open your mouth slowly. Your mouth stays open for about five seconds. You take in a lot of air and then push it out. Then you quickly close your mouth. We also know that yawning is contagious. When you see someone yawn, you yawn, too.
3. Many people say they yawn because they are bored or tired. That might be true. People do often yawn before they sleep and after they wake up. However, we know that people also yawn when they are excited or nervous. Olympic runners, for example, often yawn before a race. Why is that In 2007, scientists found that a yawn can help a warm brain cool down.
4. Some scientists believe that yawning makes you notice things more quickly. When you are young, you breathe deeply. You also stretch (强化) the muscles (肌肉) in your face, mouth, and neck. Your eardrums (耳膜) stretch, too. Maybe this helps you to be quicker to notice things.
5. In some countries, people think yawning is not nice. People put their hands over their mouths to cover a yawn. In other countries, people think yawning is healthy. They think that opening the mouth very big can let good things in. When they breathe out, they think that bad things go out of the body with the air.

The fourth Friday in November is super special, even more exciting than summer holidays or birthdays. Why Because it’s Black Friday, one of the busiest shopping days when you can find amazing deals on things you love. But what is Black Friday, and why is it so much fun
It began in the US on the Friday after American Thanksgiving, which falls on the fourth Thursday in November. The first people to use “Black Friday” were the Philadelphia (费城) police in the 1960s. On the day large numbers of people traveled there for Christmas shopping as well as an annual Army-Navy football game. The day was “black” because the police couldn’t take a day off after Thanksgiving, and instead had to work extra hard to control the crowds. It was in Philadelphia that stores first began to use this Friday as a good day for shopping, with some trying to call it “Big Friday”. But later the name “Black Friday” was widely used among people. In the end of the 1980s, it became an important shopping day across the US and, in time, around the world!
While in the past, videos would show crowds of people running into shops and fighting for the best prices, a lot of the buying now takes place online. Many companies now even begin their sales long before Black Friday itself, starting as early as the beginning of November, meaning there’s no need to line up as people did before.

1. Do you yawn (打哈欠) There are about 20 reasons that scientists think are possible for yawning after research. They do not know exactly why yawning happens, but they do know many facts about yawning.
6. Scientists do not spend much time studying yawning. That is probably because yawning does not hurt. It is just something we do.

Whether in stores or online, enjoy your Black Friday adventure to find great deals and have fun!
