After being put off twice because of the bad weather, a team of Chinese scientists reached the summit of Mount Qomolangma on May 27, 2020. It is part of a project to remeasure the current(目前的) height of the world’s highest mountain.
The team was made up of eight members. They set off from camp at 8, 300 meters at around 2:10 a.m. Nine hours later, they reached the summit successfully.
