Used to的用法
We use “used to” to talk about repeated actions in the past that are no longer happening.
We also use “used to” to talk about a state in the past that is no longer true.
used to 后面跟动词原形（不带to的不定式）。

否定句
used to 的否定形式为“didn’t use to”，例如：
He didn’t use to like coffee.
She didn’t use to enjoy reading, but now she loves it.
读表格中的句子，说说used to的否定句、一般疑问句和反意疑问句是如何构成的？

一般疑问句
构成：Did + 主语 + use to + 动词原形
回答：Yes, 人称代词 + did.
No, 人称代词 + didn’t.
E.g. — Did you use to play soccer — Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t.
— Did they use to travel a lot before they had kids
— Yes, they did. / No, they didn’t.
反意疑问问句
构成：主语 + used to + 动词原形，didn’t + 人称代词？
主语 + didn’t use to + 动词原形，did + 人称代词？
E.g. — She used to live in London, didn’t she
— Yes, she did. / No, she didn’t.
— She didn’t use to like chocolate, did she
— Yes, she did. 不，她喜欢。
— No, she didn’t. 是的，她不喜欢。

辨析：used to和would

used to和would都可以表示过去经常发生的动作(repeated action in the past) 或者是过去的情况，但是used to更强调现在这个动作不再发生，而would则不强调现在这个动作是否仍然存在。
在使用would表示过去时，要给出一个明显地表示过去的时间线索。例如：
I used to play soccer every weekend.
When I was young, I would play soccer every weekend.

used to “曾经”，表示过去经常发生，但现在不再发生的动作或情况。

1. Choose a family member you’re familiar with.
2. Write a short paragraph comparing how he / she has changed
from the past to the present. Focus on some specific aspects,
such as hobbies, behaviour or routines.
3. Use the structure “used to”.
4. Try to introduce why you think this change occured. E.g.
“My dad used to smoke, but now he doesn’t. He realized
smoking was bad for his health.”
