教材分析
人教版英语七年级下册第 5单元围绕从“描述各种常见动物”(Describe animals）和“表达白己对动物的喜好”（Express preferences）这两个功能项日展开，学习动物名称和描述动物特点的形容词，以及 why引导的特殊疑问句及其回答，从而让学生了解各种动物的英文表达，以及他们生长的地方和习性，并能用英语简单谈论对动物的喜好和原因。在学生充分了解动物之后，本单元在 Section B设计了对濒危动物的关注，引出保护大象的语篇阅读。这样一来，学生从认识动物、谈论动物过渡到保护动物，培养和激发学生热爱动物，让学生意识到保护动物、人类与动物和谐相处的重要性，帮助学生树立环保意识。本节课是第 5单元 Section A的第一课时。Section A 中学习了 panda, giraffe, koala, tiger 等动物名称，并通过 why引导的特殊疑问句及其回答简单讨论对动物的喜好和原因；通过 where 引导的特殊疑问句及其回答了解动物生长的地方。通过听说训练，让学生在语境中掌握动物描述性形容词以及地点名词。本课还融入了语音教学，从音素到音标拼读到字母拼写，让学生在实际情景中运用语音知识达到认读词汇的水平，总结本单元的语音重点名字复数 “s” “es” 的读音
一、教学目标：
1. 语言知识目标
1)能掌握下列单词tiger, elephant, panda, lion, koala, giraffe, cute, lazy, smart, beautiful, scary, kind, kind of, Australia, south, Africa, South Africa
2) 能掌握以下句型：
① What animals do you/does she/ does he like
② Let’s see the ...
③ Why do you/does she/ does he want to see ...
④ Because they are ....
2. 能力目标
① To observe and describe animals.
② To talk about their preferences
3. 情感态度价值观目标：动物和人类都生活在同一地球上，动物是我们的朋友。我们人类应该与动物和谐相处，共同生存。我们应当学会关爱动物，保护动物。
二、教学重难点
1) 学会描述动物的性格及特点。
2) 学会表达喜欢某类动物及说明喜欢的原因。
三、教学过程

II. Presentation.
1. Words and expressions：
(1) Show the students some animals. (请学生根据图片所示动物，按音节拼读单词)
(2) Pair work. (以对话形式练习动物名词的单复数以及词尾的发音)

S: They are pandas. /z/(通过大量练习总结名词复数词尾的发音规律)
2. Sentence structures：
(1) Show the picture of 1a and ask the following questions:

课后反思
本课设计思路清晰，由浅入深，教师带领着学生一步一个脚印，渐渐进入任务，让学生非常自然的领会本课的知识点。任务的设计贴近学生生活，有趣又实用，学生的参与非常热烈。在本节课的教学设计中，我从学生的年龄特征、心理特征和认知水平出发，教学中运用任务型语言教学模式，培养学生对语言的综合运用能力。课堂上以学生为主体，以任务为主线，重视体验参与，体现“以生为本”的现代教育教学理念。教学突出交际性，注重语音和听说相结合。重视个体差异，倡导过程激励，以多层次，多角度，多主体的结果与过程并重的评价方式激励进步。重视情感态度和价值观教育（热爱动物、热爱大自然、关心他人等）注重学生自我反思与思想升华。学习通过积极主动探寻、利用、丰富课程资源，为学生提供更加丰富、真实的语言学习和体验的机会。
本节课的亮点有：
1.学生的学习兴趣高涨。通过精美的图片，将学生带入充满生机的动物世界中，调动了学生的学习热情，使他们在轻松、愉快的环境中获得知识。
2.注重听说能力的培养，使学生的听说能力得到提高。
3.注重创设语音学习的语境。教师通过创设语境学习结合相关的语音知识，使学生将所学的单词与画面上的动物生活实景结合在一起，为学生丰富记忆表象，建立想象空间，提供了直观形象的教学语境和自然语境。
4.课堂气氛活跃，师生互动增强。教师以课程资源为媒介，通过课件，复习单词，引出与所学单词相关的话题，由于学生对这些动物比较了解，很容易产生共鸣，能够积极围绕有关动物话题与教师展开师生互动，学生的参与度较高。
本节课的不足之处有：由于学生的学习基础不同，参与度不均衡，部分学生不能积极举手参与活动。
