Protecting the Environment
I am Li Hua, a middle school student. I like this city, but the environment around here is getting worse and worse.
First, the air is badly polluted. With the development of the society, there are too many cars on the road in our city. And factories also pollute the air with a lot of black smoke. Second, factories also put waste into the river, which makes the river really dirty. What’s more, people always throw away rubbish every day. We can find rubbish everywhere.
Now more and more people have realized that it’s our duty to protect the environment. What can we do First, I think we can write to the government and ask them to close down the factories. （The government should make some laws to prevent factories from putting waste water into the river.）Second, it's very important to start with small things in our daily life. For example, we can save electricity by turning off the lights when we leave the room. Also, we are supposed to use reusable bags instead of plastic ones when shopping. What's more, we'd better walk, ride a bike or take the bus instead of driving when we go out. Last but not least, we need to plant as many trees as possible to make our city more beautiful.
If all of us take action together to protect the environment, I’m sure we can make a big difference and our home will become better and better.

我叫李华，是一名中学生。我喜欢这个城市，但这里的环境越来越差。
首先，空气污染严重。随着社会的发展，我们城市的路上有太多的汽车。工厂还排放大量黑烟污染空气。第二，工厂也把废物排放进河里，这使得河水变得很脏。更重要的是，人们总是每天扔掉垃圾。我们到处都可以看到垃圾。

Where there is a will, there is a way
Have you heard of the saying “Where there is a will ,there is a way" It means if you really want to do something, no matter how difficult it might be, you will find a way to do it well. The important point is that you must have the will to achieve success.
Take me for example. Speaking English used to be difficult for me. In Grade 7, I couldn't speak English clearly and my classmates always laughed at me.With my English teacher's help, I made plans to improve it. I read English texts aloud for half an hour every morning. I also made a foreign friend online. I talked to her twice a week. She helped me a lot. Day by day my spoken English improved much. Last month I won first prize in my school's English Speech Contest.

An Outdoor Activity in Our School
I was happy to take part in the outdoor activity in our school last Friday.
To make the trip more interesting, I went to East Farm with my classmates. First, we met at the school gate at 8:00 a.m. Then we went there on foot (because it’s not far from our school). We took part in many colorful activities on the farm. In the morning, we did some farm work. I think it was a good way to experience the life in the countryside. We also talked with the farmers so that all of us were able to know more about different plants. After that, we cooked lunch by ourselves and ate the vegetables which were grown by the farmers. Finally, we made friends with the children there before we left the farm. We all had a good time playing games with them.
How meaningful this activity was! We could not only enjoy fresh air but also take exercise. It was a good chance to learn about nature.

Dear Alan,
How’s everything going I’m happy to tell you something about Journey to the West.It is one of the Four Great Classical Novels in China. I have watched the cartoon many times since I was young.The novel was written by Wu Cheng'en who is a great writer in ancient China.
There are four main characters——Monk Sanzang, the Monkey King, Bajie and Sandy. They overcome many difficulties on the way to the West. Finally, they achieve their goals successfully .The Monkey King is my favorite character. He can make 72 changes and turn himself into different animals and objects. He is so smart and brave that he can protect his master, brothers and the weak well. He never gives up when he faces difficulties and challenges.
The book is so interesting that I lose myself in it. It tells us that we can achieve anything as long as we never give up . I think it's well worth reading.
