1)Look, Gary! That policeman's waving to you.He wants you to stop.Where do you think you are On a race track You must have been driving at seventy miles an hour.I can't have been.I was doing eighty when I overtook you.Didn't you see the speed limit
I hope,I think,I’m afraid,you know等。
②must have been driving
③at …miles an hour = at a speed of …
比如:at 8:30,at 50 miles an hour,at 2,785 meters。
I was driving at eighty miles an hour。
⑥overtake – overtook – overtaken v.
overtake a car 超车
No one could overtake him.
2)I'm afraid I didn't, officer.I must have been dreaming.He wasn't dreaming, officer.I was telling him to drive slowly.That's why I didn't see the sign.
why I didn’t see the sign。
That’s why +句子
That’s why I learn English.
That’s why I charge you one hundred yuan.
3)Let me see your driving licence.I won't charge you this time.But you'd better not do it again!Thank you. I'll certainly be more careful.I told you to drive slowly, Gary.You always tell me to drive slowly, darling.
Well, next time you'd better take my advice!
①you’d better是you had better的缩写。
其否定形式是在do前加not,had better not do“最好不要做……”
③advice n.
take one’s advice
advise v. 建议 advise sb. to do sth.
④注意next time前不加冠词the
must have been表示对过去肯定的推断;
can’t have been表示对过去否定的推断;
must have been doing 表示对过去正在进行的肯定的推断;
can’t have been doing
She can’t have been 29. She must have been 36.
He can’t have been reading. He must have been sleeping.

They must have gone there last night, didn't they
Tom must have been to the Great Wall, hasn't he 汤姆一定去长城了,不是吗
