数词的用法和巩固练习
一、基数词
1.表示数量的多少
one apple一个苹果
ten rabbits十只兔子
2.基数词写法和读法
1)1~12是独立单词,需逐个记忆
one two three four five six
seven eight nine ten eleven twelve
2)13~19是个位数词的词干后加-teen构成。其中 thirteen，fifteen,eighteen，变化不规则
thirteen、 fourteen 、fifteen 、sixteen 、seventeen、 eighteen 、nineteen
3)20~90的整十数词词尾为-ty
twenty、 thirty、 forty、 fifty、sixty、 seventy 、eighty、 ninety
4)21~99之间的非整十数字是在十位数词后面加上个位数词合成，中间加上“-”
如： twenty-one 21 ninety-five 95
三位以上的数词，在百位和十位之间,一般要用连词and
（hundred 百 thousand 千）
132 one hundred and thirty-two
1,340 one thousand three hundred and forty
★表示“万”、亿的词英语中没有:ten thousand 一万；one hundred million一亿
★百、千等基数词在表示准确数目时不可用复数，如: two hundred(200), ten thousand (10,000)
★hundred,thousand+“s”,则表示约数。一般与“of”连接。

序数词
二、序数词：表示顺序，前面一般要加the.（第几）
1.基数词变为序数词的规则
1)第1至第19一般是在基数词后加 th，如six-sixth:但变化特殊的有:
one-first,two-second，three-third, eight-eighth
nine-ninth,five-fifth,twelve-twelfth.
2)逢十的 twenty，thirty...ninety,分别改y为ieth，
twenty--twentieth,ninety--ninetieth
3)表示第几十几或第几百几十几,只需将个位数改为序数词
Eg.thirty-one31------ thirty-first 第三十一
缩写形式为数字加序数词的最后两个字母如:first-1st;second-2nd;third-3rd;fourth-----4th
2.序数词与冠词
1)序数词前一般要加定冠词
My birthday is on the third of May.我的生日在5月38。
2)表示在原有的基础上增加,即“又一,再一”时,用不定冠词。
Shall I ask her a second time 我还要问她一次吗
3)下列4种情况不用冠词
A.序数词前已有物主代词或名词所有格时,不能再用冠词 This is Tom's second visit to China.
B.表示比赛或考试的名次时,通常省略定冠词 He was (the) second in the English exam.
C.在某些习语中不用冠词
at first起初 first of all首先 at first sight 乍一看
数词表示编号
表示顺序或编号，单数名词+基数词，名词的第一个字母通常要大写。
Class Two 二班 Room 12 12号房间 No.3 Middle School 第三中学
2.“单数名词+基数词”可转换成“the+序数词+单数名词”，此时名词的第一个字母不大写。
Lesson Three=the third lesson第三课

四、数词表示分数
1. 分数是由“基数词+序数词”构成，基数词作分子，序数词作分母。分子=1，可用one/a表示，序数词不用复数；分子>1时，序数词要用复数。
one/a third=1/3 seven ninths=7/9
2注意：一些特殊的分数表达法：
a half二分之一(不能说a/one second)
a quarter =one fourth 四分之一
three quarters=three fourths 四分之三
五、数词表示年代/年龄段
1 .“in the+年份的复数”表示“在……世纪……年代”。
in the 1930s（加1为世纪）=in the 1930’s 在20世纪30年代
2.“in+one's+整十的复数”表示“在某人·…·…多岁时”
in his sixties在他六十多岁时
3.at the age of... 在....岁时
4.three months old 三个月大
六、数词表示日期
1.表示年份或日期，年用阿拉伯数字，日用序数词，英语表达的顺序为“月、日、年”。
eg：一九九六年三月二日的写法
2nd March,1996（英）
March 2nd, 1996(美)
数词表示时间
1.整点的表达：o'clock前用阿拉伯数字或基数词。
6点：6 o'clock 或six o' clock
8点 8 o'clock 或 eight o'clock
2.非整点表达：
1）时加分
six thirty 表示6:30
seven forty-five 表示7:45
eight O one表示8：01(0读字母o音)
用“时加分”的方式表示时间，后面决不可有o'clock。
2）分+past+时：表示“几点几 ，不超过半小时（包括半小时half)
一点一刻：aquarter past one或 one fifteen
两点半： half past two 或 two thirty
一刻(十五分)用a quarter
am. 上午 5pm. 下午五点
pm. 下午
3)分+to+时：表示超过半小时的“几点差几分”
三点四十五分：a quarter to four 或 three forty-five
七点二十：twenty past seven 或 seven twenty
九点四十：twenty to ten 或 nine forty
4）表示半的两种说法
2.5千克：two kilos and a half/two and a half kilos
八、数词表示四则运算
1.“加”用plus/add 3+5=8 3 plus 5 is 8
2.“减”用minus/ 12-3=9 12 minus 3 is 9
3.“乘”用multiply/times 2x3=6 2 times 3 is six “二”用is/equal表示
4.“除”用divide 30÷6=5 divide 30 by 6, and you can get 5
九、数词的其他运用
1.表示年龄。14 years old 14岁 14-year-old adj.十四岁的
in one’s forties(整十的复数)在某人四十多岁时
2.表示小数，小数点用“point”表示。eleven point two three 表示11:23
后面如果跟单位的话，前面的小数大于一的话，单位需要加s.
1.23 meters=1.23米
3.表示百分数，用percent。fifty percent:50%
The output of steel went up by twenty percent.钢铁产量增长了20%。
The output of steel went up to twenty percent. 钢铁产量增长到20%。
表示倍数。once表示“一倍”，twice表示“两倍”，“三倍及以上”用“基数词+times”表示。 four times:四倍
