教学过程
Warming up Before the story Greetings. The teacher and students greet each other to eliminate the sense of strangeness. Sing a song To introduce today’s topic--birthday party in the method of singing can not only stimulate the students' study interest, but also can improve the quality.
Presentation& Practice While the story Look and answer Ask the students to look at a picture of cake in this story and answer two questions: Q1: How many candles here Q2: How old is Zoom To lead them into the story and get closer to the topic--Zoom’ s six birthday party. Let’ s guess Ask students to guess some basic information about the story, for example. Where is Zoom’ s birthday party , Who comes to the birthday party ... To develop students’ characteristic view on this story by guessing and attract their attention. Look and choose Ask the students to look at the pictures and answer the question: Q: Where is Zoom’ s birthday party A. At Zoom’ s home B. At school To test their guessing and to notice the place where Zoom’ s friends are. They are out the door or on the door. Listen and number Ask the students to listen to the whole story and number the main pictures of the story. And ask a question: Is Zoom happy To clear the storyline: The friends outside the door，Is Zoom happy The friends at the door, Is Zoom happy The friends in the house, Is Zoom happy Look and tick Q：Who comes to the party Ask students to look at the first picture of the story and tick the animals who comes to the party. Watch and check Ask students to watch the video of the story and check the animals who comes to the party. They will find there are two more animals. Q：Who comes to the party By the help of picture and video, students are able to understand the story deeper. Listen and feel Ask students to listen and feel the whole story, pay attention to the pronunciation, intonation and stress. Listen and imitate Ask students to listen and follow the sentence one by one. Reading with emotion and action aloud is a main approach for students to obtain input language.
Production After the story; Act it out Ask students to act this story out in a group. By playing a role in story, students can use language in a real situation, as an intense, immersive and interactive experience. Think and answer Q1: Zoom is 6 years old. Is Zoom old Ask students to think about the words “You are old.” that Zip said to Zoom. Kids in grade 3 have heated discussion. Think and say Q1: What will Zoom say Ask students to think about what Zoom will say to his friends. To enhance students output language in the real situation. To test if students can understand the essential meaning of this story. Give it a name Ask students to title this story and ask them which one is the best.
