There once was a very honest shopkeeper whose business was to provide goods to the local people. He would open his shop at 8:00 a.m. after having his breakfast, and at 1:00 p.m. he would go for lunch. In the evening at 8:30 p.m. he closed his shop to complete his daily routine.
However, to get time for lunch was really difficult because he didn’t have anybody to help him at that time. Therefore, it was his daily practice that whichever customer was shopping at 1:00 p.m. would be asked to keep watch on the shop until the shopkeeper returned from lunch.
One day, a group of four thieves planned to steal from his shop while he was gone for lunch. One of the thieves would go at 1:00 p.m. to be the customer that would be asked to keep watch on the shop.
The thief, pretending (假装) to be a customer, went into the shop at 1:00 p.m. and started buying several things. As usual, the shopkeeper asked this “customer” to sit on his chair for thirty minutes until he returned from lunch.

Bicycles have long been used for transportation in China. But recently, cycling has become popular because of the result of restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pandemic has made cycling more popular as officials closed some gymnasiums or places for exercise.

For every Specialized bicycle sold in Beijing at least 10 customers are waiting for their bicycles to arrive, Joanna Lei chose to pay more for bicycle available. She said the money was better spent than on a luxury bag. “What you are investing in is your own body and a very good habit,” she said. Lei added, “I think it is more valuable than clothes that you wear or handbags that you use.”
People will have more choices for sports and entertainment when the pandemic is over. But Feng says he expects cycling to remain popular because of China’s growing health concerns and awareness of environmental protection.

AI tools like Midjourney and DALL-E can create such pictures. Simply type in what you want and the picture comes out in minutes. People have never been more worried than today about the spread of fake news.
