5. 注意一些连词 如一些表示转折的连词,but,However, yet, though, nevertheless等,另外还有一些表示并列关系的连词如and, also,as well as,neither nor, either or,not only...but also,on the one hand....on the other hand等。 常见的表示例证关系的标志词语有:for example, for instance, in fact/as a matter of fact, actually, in other words/that is to say等。 表示转折关系的标志词语有: but, however, yet, while/though/although, or/otherwise, on the contrary, instead, nevertheless(然而), still, in contrast/comparison, by comparison等。因果关系表示因果关系的标志词语有:so, therefore, thus, consequently(结果), as a result (of), so/such ...that ..., so that ... 表示递进关系的标志词语有:too, also, besides, further, furthermore, moreover, likewise, similarly, what's more, what's worse, in addition, as well, to make matters worse, not ... but ..., not only ... but also等。并列关系表示并列关系的标志词语有:and, first(ly), second(ly); first, then/next; to begin with, some ... others ...; for one thing, for another thing; then/next, finally/last等。 As an artist who shares her journey on social media, I’m often asked by curious followers how to begin an art journey. Spend a few minutes looking through the book. C. This depends on the type of book you are reading. 4. ●Paint often and paint from life. ●Continually challenge yourself to try something new. ●__39___ Seeking and accepting constructive feedback (反馈) is crucial to growth. D. Share your work if you feel comfortable doing so. E. You’ll hit roadblocks, and you’ll feel discouraged at times. (2) 标点符号: (2021全国甲卷) ____17____ , and there may not be enough things to choose from; more than that, and it becomes uncontrollable. A. Less people than that C. If two people are competing 2. 要注意表示总结的信号词,如therefore, as a result, hence, thus, to sum up, to conclude, in short, in a word等词语,选项中也可发现前文的同义词句。 How to stop glasses fogging up with a face mask Wearing a mask keeps you safe during the pandemic, but it come with its own set of challenges. And, one of the biggest drawbacks of wearing a mask is how much your glasses fog up and affect your vision. Taking off your glasses to wipe them clean each time it fogs up is not only frustrating, but it can also increase the risk of infection. __36__ Here are some tricks to stop it. Twist your mask strings. From the side, once you twist it, the strings will look like the figure eight. This is great for stopping fogging because it redirects your breath by putting slight downward pressure on the top part of the mask. __37__ This may leave you infected by virus. __38__ If you wash your glasses with soap, this creates a thin film on your lenses which limits fogging. Use a fragrance-free soap and mix it with warm water. Put your glasses in it and let it air dry. When you wear your glasses next, soap molecules on your lenses should block fogging. Use tissues. You can put a tissue under the top part of the mask. __39__ To do this DIY trick properly, you should fold a tissue in half and place the straight edge along the bridge of your nose. Change the position of your masks and glasses. __40__ But if you do this there are a few things to keep in mind. Firstly, you need to make sure that your mask still covers your chin after you pull it up. And, if your prescription is stronger, this trick could impact your vision and cause increased blurriness. A.Put glasses in the water. B.Wash your glasses with soap. C.It will help catch air and damp, keeping your glasses free of fog. D.So the key is to prevent or minimize fogging due to face masks. E.Cover your chin with masks to prevent need for repositioning when talking. F.Though, it's worth noting that it does create a slight gap between the mask and your face. G.Pull up your mask and draw your glasses down, blocking your breath from rising upwards. 从填空处前文“one of the biggest drawbacks of wearing a mask is how much your glasses fog up and affect your vision/戴口罩最大的缺点之一就是你的眼镜会起雾,影响你的视力”以及后文开始介绍技巧可知,这里应该选一个承接上文缺点、引发介绍的选项,也就是D“So the key is to prevent or minimize fogging due to face masks/因此,关键是防止或尽量减少口罩造成的雾气”。 从后文“This may leave you infected by virus/这可能会让你感染病毒”可知,前文应该在讲述一个会导致病毒产生的举动,也就是F选项所说的“create a slight gap between the mask”,因为创造了一个空隙,所以病毒会通过这个空隙进入口罩里。 从后文“If you wash your glasses with soap, this creates a thin film on your lenses which limits fogging/如果你用肥皂洗眼镜,这会在镜片上形成一层薄膜,从而限制起雾。” A new year can bring new excitement and opportunities to grow for kids, too. ___16___ New Year’s resolutions can be a beneficial way for kids to get motivated, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. “___17___ ”said Dr. Lanre Falusi, a Washington, D. C., pediatrician (儿科医生) in an American Academy of Pediatrics statement. “Kids also love having something to work toward and to have fun keeping track on sticker charts or getting praise or rewards as they reach these goals.” The idea of a goal may also be easier for younger children to grasp. Jack Frezell, 3, of Ontario, Canada, said his goal for next year is to “go on my bike by myself.” Setting goals can teach children persistence, focus and the value of planning, according to Gary Latham, Secretary of State Professor of Organizational Behavior at the University of Toronto, who specializes in goal setting. “ ___18___ ” Latham said, “It teaches them control over their environment instead of being dependent on Mom and Dad.” ___19___ “It has to be concrete; it has to be within the child’s ability to attain; and there has to be a reasonable time frame,” said Latham. He noted that once kids reach age 7 or so, it’s achievable for them to set a goal and make their own plan for how to pursue and attain it. ___20___ Here’s when to show children with inspiration and give them a hand. “Next thing you know, the overall goal has been attained, and it gives kids a sense of accomplishment, excitement and achievement,” he said. A. Setting realistic goals is difficult for kids. B. The big impact is that it teaches them initiative. C. How important it is to set healthy goals with kids. D Goals that are both specific and achievable are key. E. They can learn to focus on new goals just like adults. F. If it’s not specific, some kids are likely to blame themselves. G.
