Last month I found a notice in a newspaper. It said that readers could write about a wonderful experience and the first prize would be a holiday of a week in England. Many of us in our school took part in it.
It’s time to find out who has won the competition now. People are listening to the radio to wait for the result.
The presenter on the radio says that two thousand children entered the competition, but only one person can win. Tony puts his hand in a big hat and picks out the name. After Tony gets the name from the hat, the presenter tells listeners that the winner is Lawrence. Lawrence has won the competition.
The radio station allows the winner Lawrence to go there to get the prize within two weeks. Lawrence’s article of the writing competition will also be read out in the programme.

Dear Jenny,
To make friends, first you must be friendly. Everyone likes a friendly girl with a smile. You can give your classmates praises .That means saying something nice about their dressing styles or skills. Second, ask a question to start chatting. Find out what interests them and talk about that, even if it doesn't interest you a lot. Ask your classmates questions and let them be the experts.The conversation is more important than the topic. Finally, talk to more people. Say hello to the people you meet. Sit with some groups of people in the dining hall. If one person doesn't want to talk with you, find someone else to chat with. Don't just think about being lonely. Do something about it! Smile and say hello, even to the people who aren't your friends. Doing things differently will help produce different results.
