归纳拓展
(1)引导原因状语从句的连词有:because, as, since, now that, seeing that 等。
(2)for可以作为并列连词,表示对前面分句内容的解释和推断。
(3)表示原因的常见短语有:because of, thanks to, due to, owing to等。

该结构连接两个并列分句，并且not only位于句首时，not only后的分句要用部分倒装，即将助动词、情态动词或者系动词 be置于主语之前;but(also)后的分句不倒装,即前倒后不倒。
归纳拓展
(1)主谓一致: not only…but (also).….强调的是后者,作主语时谓语动词的数遵循就近原则，即与but(also)后的主语保持一致。
省略情况:在not only…but(also)...结构中， but also既可连用,也可分开用,but 可省略,also 也可省略;但在使用时,也会见到在连接句子时but also 都省略的情况。
