一般过去时的定义：过去某个时间或某一段时间内发生的动作或存在的状态
一般过去时的结构：
含有be动词时：主语+was/were+其他
没有be动词，用实意动词作谓语时：主语+动词的过去式+其他
一般过去时常见的时间标志词：
yesterday昨天； last + 时间,，例如：last month上个月；three years ago三年前； just now刚才，in + 过去时间，例如：in 2023 在2023年；the day before yesterday前天
一般过去时的动词变化：
规则变化：
一般情况下在动词原形后直接加-ed，例如：worked ; played ; wanted
以不发音的字母e结尾的动词，去掉e再加-ed；例如：hoped ; liked
重读闭音节单词需双写最后一个辅音字母，再加-ed；例如：stopped ; planned
以辅音字母加y结尾的动词，改y为i，再加-ed；例如：studied ; worried
不规则变化：参见课本第141页。

关于一般过去时的结构：
1、含有be动词的。
肯定句：主语 + be(was/were) + 其它.
例如：It was sunny and a little hot yesterday.
昨天是晴天，有点儿热。
否定句：主语 + be(was/were) not + 其它.
例如：They were not on vacation last month.
上个月，他们没有度假。
一般疑问句：Be(Was/ Were) + 主语 + 其它
例如：Was the boy late for English class
这个男孩昨天的英语课迟到了吗？
实义动词的一般过去时时态。
肯定句：主语 + 动词的过去式 + 其它
例如：I climbed the mountain with some of my friends.
我和我的一些朋友爬山。
否定句：主语 + didn't+动词原形 + 其它
例如：They didn't go swimming yesterday.
他们昨天没有去游泳。
一般疑问句：Did + 主语 +动词原形+ 其它
肯定回答：Yes , 人称代词主格+did.
否定回答：No , 人称代词主格+didn’t.
例如：Did you take any photos on last school trip
学校上次郊游你拍照片了吗？
肯定回答：Yes , I did.
否定回答：No , I didn’t.
