Lesson 4　Don’t Smoke, Please!
教学目标
通过本课的学习,学生能够:
1.获取本篇文章的内容,了解吸烟的危害,了解吸烟有害健康的原因以及如何远离香烟,形成信息结构图。(学习理解)
2.通过介绍吸烟对人体健康的危害,远离香烟,养成良好的生活习惯。(应用实践)
3.运用本课所学句型,结合信息结构图,运用相关语言表达方式,讲述吸烟的危害以及如何远离香烟。(迁移创新)
语篇研读
What: 本课是一篇说明文,主要介绍了吸烟的危害及我们该如何远离吸烟。
Why: 通过本课的学习,可以帮助青少年认识到吸烟的危害,帮助青少年学会应如何远离香烟,从而养成健康的生活方式。
How: 语篇采用“总—分—总”的形式,先说明吸烟是一种坏习惯;中间通过两部分来进行阐述,先是介绍吸烟的危害,然后又介绍学生们应该怎么做;最后引导学生要远离香烟,健康生活。
教学过程
设计理念:以《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》核心素养为导向,以单元主题为引领,基于语篇的育人理念,体现《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》“学思用创”的英语学习活动观和“教—学—评”一体化设计理念。

设计意图 通过图片和设置的情景能更好地帮助学生理解、掌握本课单词【学习理解】
Activity 2: Discussion 小组讨论,引入主题 Work in groups to discuss the questions: 1.Why is smoking harmful 2.What should we do 观察学生是否能够准确表达他们的想法,了解学生的语言表达能力。教师给予帮助或鼓励
设计意图 通过讨论问题,锻炼学生的发散思维和语言表达能力,同时学生能更好地了解本课的主题
Activity 3: Listening 听前预测,听中获取有用信息 1.Listen to the tape and write T or F. (1) Smoking can cause many diseases, such as heart disease and lung disease. Activity 4: Reading 学生阅读对话并进行思考,回答问题 1. Fast reading. (1) How many parts does the poster have (2) What’s the main idea of it Then check the answers. 2.Read the passage again, scan and match (题见PPT). Then check the answers. 3.Careful Reading Read the text aloud carefully and then complete the task. (表格见PPT) Then check the answers. 观察学生的作答情况,并根据学生的答案检测学生对课文的理解情况

Activity 5: Pair work 制作宣传海报,深化主题 Work in groups. Make a poster to warn people to stay away from cigarettes. Then present in class. 观察学生制作宣传海报是否存在问题,及时给予鼓励和帮助
设计意图 通过海报制作,学生能够深入理解主题,更好地抵制吸烟,远离香烟【应用实践】
Activity 6: Language points &Exercise 通过知识点的学习,解决后续学习中的问题 1.
