Lesson 23　The Giant (Ⅱ)
教学目标
通过本课的学习,学生能够:
1.获取和梳理巨人看到花园因孩子们的到来而重回春天,决定拆除围墙,让花园成为孩子们乐园的经过,形成信息结构图。(学习理解)
2.基于信息结构图的内容,结合自己对童话故事的理解,转述本课的内容。(应用实践)
3.运用本课所学词汇和句型,结合自己的认知,用自己的话讲述一个童话故事。(迁移创新)
语篇研读
What: 本课语篇是童话故事《巨人的花园》的第二部分,主要讲述了巨人看到花园因孩子们的到来而重回春天,决定拆除围墙,让花园成为孩子们的乐园的故事。
Why: 文章通过讲述巨人最终明白自己不能那么自私,花园只有成为孩子们的乐园才会焕发生机,向我们展示了如何按时间顺序去讲述故事,也告诉我们要学会与人分享。
How: 语篇按事件发展的过程展开。巨人看到花园因孩子们的到来而重回春天,于是巨人幡然醒悟,拆除了围墙,花园成了孩子们的乐园。
教学过程
设计理念:以《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》核心素养为导向,以单元主题为引领,基于语篇的育人理念,体现《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》“学思用创”的英语学习活动观和“教—学—评”一体化设计理念。

Activity 2: Fast reading 速读,获取文章信息 Read the lesson and write true (T) or false (F).(见PPT) 观察学生的答题情况,了解学生对文章的初步理解程度
设计意图 快速阅读课文,初步了解课文内容,让学生对文章有一个整体的认知【学习理解】
Activity 3: Careful reading 细节阅读,让学生对文本内容进行深度解析 1. Read Paragraph 1 and finish.(见PPT) 2. Read Paragraph 2 and fill in the blanks. (见PPT) 3. Read Paragraphs 3-4 and finish. (见PPT) 4. Read Paragraph 5 and answer the question. (见PPT) 观察学生是否能准确获取并理解文章的细节,能否完成相关任务,同时要培养学生的语言应用能力
设计意图 细读课文,让学生进一步理解并梳理课文内容,并对文中的人物特点进行分析和概括总结【学习理解】
Activity 4: Retell 复述课文 Read the key words. Then retell the text.(见PPT) 观察学生能否完整、顺利地进行语言输出,给予学生适当的点拨
设计意图 复述文本内容,让学生学会运用本课词汇和句型,并加深对文章的理解,完成知识的系统化巩固【应用实践】
Activity 5: Language points and summary 通过知识点的学习帮助学生解决后续学习中的问题 1. say to oneself 2. reach up 3. break out in blossom 4. stretch out 5. along with 6. knock down, knock at/on 7. ever since then 观察学生是否能够对课文中的重点短语进行翻译
设计意图 通过学习这些短语,不仅能够帮助学生更好地理解本课内容,也帮助学生扩大了词汇量【学习理解】
