03 图表作文
题型分析：
图表作文通常以表格或图形的形式呈现，体裁多为说明文，应用文或议论文。此类题型要求考生根据图表提供的数据和文字内容进行分析与讨论，得出令人信服的结论，或对某一结论进行评述。
图表作文常见的命题形式有：表格（table),条形图（bar chart)、饼状图（piechart)、线形图（line graph).图表中的数据信息往往较多，写作时一般不能把各种数据都列出来。因此，读懂表格与图形是关键，考生要认真分析图表内各数据或各信息之间的关系。考生平常要多做练习，熟悉这类作文的写法，熟记常用词汇和句型。
写作方法：
图表作文，通俗地说就是升级版的看图说话。在平时的模考以及中考真题中，图表作文出现的概率相对较小，所以考生平时练习也少一些，不容易把握其写作技巧。图表作文不像提纲作文一样会给出写作要点，考生需要根据图表内容来寻找信息，确定文章的写作思路。尽管图表作文与图画作文有很大的不同，但写作思路基本相同，可以归纳为以下三个方面：
1.简要描述图表的直观内容
写好图表作文的第一步是分析图表中的数据变化所反映出来的问题或趋势，把直观看到的图表内容简单地描述出来，简要叙述图表所揭示的信息。这一部分简要概述即可，不需展开。
2.分析数据并阐述原因
分析数据变化的原因，并阐明理由，注意应使内容要点条理化、有序化。
3.提出解决问题的建议，得出结论
和提纲作文一样，图表作文的最后也要总结全文的观点，根据图表内容给出相应的建议或者评价，这一点类似于社会问题型作文的结尾。
（一） 图表类型的表达：
图表（graph/diagram）包括柱状图（bar/column chart）、表格（table）、饼状图（pie chart）、折线图（line chart）、曲线图（curve chart）、流程图（flow chart）、组图（a set of charts）等。如果考试的时候不会写某个具体图表的英译，可以用graph/diagram泛指所有图表。
（二）描述图表变化趋势的表达
上升 (v)：
increase; go up; rise; improve; grow; jump; rocket;
上升 (n)：
increase; rise; growth; jump;
下降 (v)：fall; drop; decrease; decline; go down; sink;
下降 (n)：decrease, decline, fall, reduction, drop, slowdown;
波动 (v)：vary, wave
波动 (n)：variation
波动 (词组)：range / vary from xx to xx，go up and down, ups and downs
（三）描述图表变化程度的表达
变化程度很大：
副词：significantly；considerably；rapidly；sharply；dramatically；greatly; massively;
形容词：striking/ skyrocketing/ twofold（两倍的）/ threefold（三倍的）/ considerable/ steep
词组：at an alarming rate, by a wide/significant margin
变化程度较轻：
副词：slightly；gradually；slowly；steadily；moderately; modestly
形容词：steady/moderate/slow/slight/gradual
词组：in a moderate way, by a narrow margin
（四）极值类和组成构成的表达
最高点：reach the peak
(hit/arrive at/stand at/increase to都可以替换掉reach)
(top/highest point都可以替换掉peak)
最低点：reach the bottom
(drop/hit/arrive at/stand at都可以替换掉reach)
(lowest point可以替换掉bottom)
eg：reach the bottom of xx
占比最多：make up the largest percentage of xx
占比最少：make up the smallest percentage of xx

大约：about/around/approximately/roughly/nearly/almost/just + 数字
超过：

（七）数据常用句型
① 描述上升到多少：
The mobile-phone subscriptions soared to 4 billion in 2008.
2008年，手机订阅量飙升至40亿美元。
② 描述从多少上升到多少：
Conversely, the urban population saw a rising trend, growing from only 300 million to 680 million by 2010.相反，城市人口呈上升趋势，到2010年仅从3亿增长到6.8亿。
③ 描述A的上升和B的下降：
Domestic cars had a dramatic increase in the market share, as high as 9.8%, while/whereas（然而）Japanese cars declined by nearly 10%.（by+数据，就是上升/下降了多少，例如declined by nearly 10%就是下降了将近10%，to+数据，是指上升/下降到多少）
国内汽车的市场份额急剧增长，高达9.8%，而日本汽车下降了近10%。
④ 描述xx数据排第几：
The amount of underground water ranks the second ,the percentage being 30.2%.
地下水用量排名第二，占30.2%。
⑤ 描述最大占比：
We cannot fail to see that the biggest share is acquiring knowledge, with a proportion as high as 59.5%.=We cannot fail to see that the biggest share is acquiring knowledge, accounting for 59.5%.
我们总看不到，最大的份额是获取知识，其比例高达59.5%。
⑥ 分别描述比例：
Novels are in the majority, with a percentage of 60%. The textbooks account for 25%, with technical books taking up 10%, closely followed by poem books taking up 5%.
小说占大部分，比例为60%。教材占了25%，跟随其后的是科技书，占了10%，诗歌书紧随其后，占了5%。
Technical books and poem books are in the minority, taking up 10% and 5% respectively.
科技书和诗歌书占少数，比例分别是10%和5%。
