Over time, this could make her a danger to people living in the area.教师引导学生观察划线词和短语在句子中的成分，为接下来的讲解做好铺垫。Step2 Discovering the rulesV-ing作定语。【Rule 1】单个词前置：此时说明被修饰词的性质、特征或用途。表示“供……用”。相当于 for+v-ing，常置于被修饰词前作前置定语。【Rule 2】与被修饰的词为主动关系。【Rule 3】表示正在进行的动作。【Rule 4】有些V-ing形式已经转化成形容词，用来修饰物，表示“令人……的”。【Rule 5】如果表示正在进行的动作，且与被修饰词是被动关系，就用being done。表示“正现在分词是一种非限定动词，兼有动词和形容词的特征，在句子中可以作表语、定语、宾语补足语和状语，一般表示进行或主动的意思。现在分词作定语的规则和具体用法如上，教师可根据学生情况酌情安排教学。 Step3 Applying the rulesFill in the blanks with appropriate forms.通过单句填空练习，帮助学生进一步巩固现在分词作定语的用法。Step4 Practice1.
