Have you heard about “Survival Holidays” This activity is for children to go to a lonely place to do some exciting things. Now about 1100 companies are allowed to take children to do the outdoor activities without their parents.
The reason why many parents like “Survival Holidays” is that they think being close to the nature is good for children. Many children in cities spend much time watching TV and playing computer games. This activity gives them an important chance to change their lifestyles.
Is it a wonderful idea Of course it is. Children need more free time to play. They need to learn to live on their own without adults staying with them. Chinese parents usually care too much about their children. They like to see their children being busy with activities which are controlled by them. However, this will cause many problems. Children won’t be able to know what they should do when they are in danger. Even something like crossing a small river seems to be a hard challenge. Children may not be comfortable when they need to deal with problems by themselves. Even a little problem like getting their feet wet or falling down seems very terrible for them.

The Spring Festival is the biggest festival for Chinese people all around the world. The celebration usually lasts for 15 days. There are a lot to do.
On New Year’s Eve, family members get together and have big meals. Their favorite dish on this day is dumplings. Days before the Spring Festival, families will clean their homes. People think cleaning sweeps away bad luck. It makes the house ready for good luck.
The color red is everywhere during the Spring Festival. People think red is a happy color and will bring them a bright future. People wear red, too.
