Today, let's get to know Frida Carlo, one of Mexico's greatest artists. Freda was born in Mexico in 1907. Her father was a German, and he met Frida’s mother in Mexico. Her father took photos and she liked helping him. However, Frida was badly hurt in a bus accident when she was 18. She could not go back to school and had to stay in bed for months. She taught herself to paint while she was in bed. Her paintings were bright and she painted mainly about her life or herself with animals. Frida was thought to be brave because she did not let her illness stop her from painting.
