He made numerous contributions to the world , the most well-known being the general theory of relativity and the famous formula E= mc . In 1967, she was chosen to join a team of scientists with the objective of discovering a new treatment for malaria. Her team examined many old medical tests, and evaluated lots of plants for their medical properties. They even insisted on testing the medicine on themselves to make sure that it was safe. Finally the medicine, which was called artemisinin, soon became a standard treatment for malaria and saved thousands of lives.
Tu Youyou’s work is so important that the Nobel Prize of 2015 was awarded to her. Tu Youyou, who is not interested in fame, said it was a team effort. She is considered as a model for other people, inspiring more people to make great contributions to our country.
