Estee Lauder (July 1, 1906-April 24, 2004) was an American businesswoman. Along with her husband, Joseph Lauder, she set up Estee Lauder Companies (公司), the world-famous company.

Robin Hood is one of the most popular and interesting characters in English folk (民间的) stories, and his story is quite well known across the world. In the thirteenth century, King Richard and his army were fighting in foreign lands. Richard’s brother John ruled England while he was away. John was a cruel (残忍的) ruler, and so was his friend — the terrible police officer of Nottingham. The police officer asked for money from all the people who lived in the area of Nottingham. The poor had to pay a lot and struggled (挣扎) to live.
In the story, Robin Hood was angry at the unfairness and decided to fight against it. He and his fellows lived in Sherwood Forest, a large wood near Nottingham. They caught the king’s deer for food. They also robbed (抢) rich people who were travelling through the forest and gave the money to poor people. The forest was considered a dangerous place, but to Robin and his band, it was a place of safety, away from the police officer’s men.
There are some findings that a man called Robin Hood actually lived during the thirteenth century. The fact is that he was not quite such a good man as the one in the folk stories. But it is the heroic character in the story that we remember.
