第一课时(Activity 1－Activity 3)
Step 1：Have a dictation
1．Have a free talk with students about how they learn English and ask them to share their ways of learning English in class.
2．Summarize the useful ways of learning English according to students' discussion.
3．Learn the new words.
4．Read the words after the teacher.
Step 2：Preview
1．Let the students think about how to study English.
2．Read the instructions and check(√)．(Activity 1)．
(1)Work in pairs.Ask and answer the questions.
(2)Correct the spelling.
(3)Listen and check the words you hear.
(4)Practise saying the words.
(5)Match the words with their meanings.
(6)Complete the sentences with the words in the box.
3．Check the ones they understand and share them with the classmates.
Step 3：Listening
1．Let the students read the words and phrases.

make a mistake，understand
2．Play the recording.
3．Guide the students to catch the main sentences and key words.
4．Listen and answer the questions.
(1)Which word did Daming not understand
(2)What mistake did Lingling make
(3)How does Darning usually check the spelling of a word
(4)Why was it difficult for Daming to check the spelling of cinema
5．Then check the answers.
Step 4：Listening and reading
1．Ask the students to work in pairs to practice the dialogue.
2．Make sentences to practice the sentence structure.
3．And then discuss what the sentence structure is like.
4．Play the recording and let the students read after it.
5．Act out the dialogue in front of the class.
Step 5：Everyday English
Read the expressions aloud.
