Then she was rushed to the hospital and finally out of danger. The author disapproved this kind of unhealthy weight-loss habit and turned to expects for some healthy way to lose weight.【Why】The news report is directly presented to young students to remind that they should lose weight in a correct and healthy way instead of turning to simple but extreme way. Besides, students should see their bodies in the right way and accept what they’re like.【How】The teaching material is a news report that a girl fainted because of skipping meals. It consists of three parts, first part for the lead, second for the detailed information about the news and the last for the background and supporting information. In order to make the content of the news more objective, the author quoted a lot of data and experts' opinions to help young students learn to look at their body correctly and lose weight healthily

读后活动和课上讲的内容稍微有些割裂，因为lead和headline的写法在上课的前几分钟就已经讲了，最后让学生写，学生会忘记，但是如果加在前面又会让学生脱离原来已经创造好的情境和语境中。我将本篇文章分成两个部分，前一部分是新闻，后面部分是作者的态度和专家建议。没有两个统筹一起讲，反而在两个部分的中间加入思考的问题。我个人觉得这种方式有利于学生养成自主思考的能力，因为青少年对减肥这个话题还是比较敏感的，然后再让学生带着自己的观点去阅读作者的观点。在文章里我加入了很多why，每当学生完成一个答案就要回答why，我觉得这样有利于学生深入思考理解文章，而不是仅仅停留在文章内容表面。
