There isn’t anybody in the classroom.

(1)wish
①[动词] “希望”,后跟宾语从句,从句用虚拟语气。虚拟语气陈述的是与客观事实不相符或不能够实现的事情。在与现在的事实不符的虚拟语气中,从句中be动词用were,其他动词用过去式,常意为“要是……就好了”。
I wish I were you.我希望我是你。

(2)辨析:wish与hope
相同点 不同点 wish wish to do sth. wish sb.to do sth.希望某人做某事 “wish+that从句”表示难以实现的愿望,从句通常用虚拟语气。
hope hope to do sth. 没有hope sb. to do sth.形式 “hope+that从句”表示有信心或有把握实现的愿望,从句不用虚拟语气。
