书面表达
Dear Li Hua:
I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy these days.
At first, you are not tall and look very common.I think you shouldn’t care about it and must trust yourself.Second, you are not good at communicating and have few friends. In my opinion, you could learn to get on with others and be friendly to others. What’s more, you have so much pressure from schoolwork that you have little time for after-school activities. Why not make a weekly learning plan?Besides, it is useful for you to find proper ways to relax, such as exercising and listening to the music. Finally, you always argue with your parents because they don’t understand you.How about sitting down and talking with them Your parents will also be happier if you can do some chores at home.
I hope my advice will be helpful to you.
Yours,
Kim内江六中2023-2024学年八年级下期期中考试

Everyone gets sad. Sad feelings can happen often. More than half of the teenagers feel sad at
least once a month.
When you are sad, it feels like it will last for a long time. However, the feeling of sadness
usually doesn’t last very long — a few hours or maybe a day or two.
When you are sad, the world seems dark and unfriendly. Many times, you cry and it’s hard to
stop. Crying usually makes you feel better. When sadness starts to go away, it feels like a heavy
stone is being lifted (抬起) from your heart.
If sad feelings go on for too long, it ’ s called depression (抑郁症 ). Children who have
depression may not know it. Often, a parent or a teacher knows the changes of them. When
depression happens, it’s important for children to get treatment(治疗). When they do, they can get
better quickly. Sometimes it means talking to someone who knows all about depression. Sometimes
it means taking medicine. Sometimes both of these things are used. If you think you have depression,
or you just have sadness that will not go away, it’s important to talk to a parent or a teacher. He or
she can help you find the right way of treatment.

Ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much for coming to this concert. I hope you enjoy the
concert. As you may know, all the performers have donated(捐献) their time to help us.
The purpose of this concert is to raise money for children in Africa. Every day hundreds of
children in Africa die because they have diseases or don’t have enough food to eat.
There are two main reasons. First, there is no work for the children’s parents, so they have no
money to buy food or medicine. Second, the governments in many African countries do not have the
money to take care of the poor.
Most African countries are poor. The land is not good for growing food and the weather is also
bad for farming. There are many organizations trying to help these poor people. The organization we
are trying to help, the Feed Africa Fund, spends millions of dollars every year on food for poor
people in Africa. This money comes from people like you—kind, generous people who do not want
to see children die of hunger.
All the money you give this evening will go to the Feed Africa Fund. Just one dollar can buy
enough rice or corn to feed a family of four for three days.
How much do you spend on food every day?Ten dollars?Twenty dollars?I am sure you can
spend a little less on your own food so that you have a few dollars for the Feed Africa Fund.
Ladies and gentlemen, we will now take up a collection. Please be generous.
32.What’s the biggest problem in many African countries according to the passage
A. Hunger. B. The bad weather. C. The poor land. D. Water pollution.
33. What will the money be raised for
A. Children without parents. B. Children without food.
C. Countries without money. D. Countries with bad weather.
34. If a person gave five dollars, how long could the money feed four people
A. Three days. B. One week. C. Half a month. D. One month.
35. How would you describe “generous” people
A. People who get sick often. B. People who donate money easily.
