An important event that I remember well was Wenchuan Earthquake. It happened on May 12, 2008 in Wenchuan, Sichuan. When I heard the news of this event, I was working. My friends were watching games on TV. This event is very important to me because many people died in the earthquake. They need some help. Lots of people came to help them.
2.假如我校校刊近期开辟了英语专栏，征集发生在大家身边的感人故事。请根据以下提示，为专栏投稿。

On a cold morning ,while\when I was buying some food for my breakfast,I saw a girl standing in front of me buying some bread and milk.When she wanted to leave,she found an old beggar under the tree.He looked cold and hungry.The girl came up to the beggar without thinking twice and gave the food to him.The beggar said thanks to the girl. But the girl said nothing and went away with a smile on her face.
I was moved by what the girl did.I think it was the warmest thing on that cold morning.
