教学目标
By the end of the class, you will be able to: 1.get the basic information about Anna, John and Lisa’s neighborhoods; 2.get the specific information from passages by using different reading skills, like skimming, scanning etc; 3. introduce your own neighborhood and love it.
教学内容
教学重点： Students can master key words and phrases. Students can understand the passages by using different reading skills.
教学难点： 2.Students know how to introduce their neighborhood.
教学过程
Step Ⅰ：Lead-in Greeting Watch a video “Welcome to my town”. Review the places we’ve learned:supermarket,bank, police station,hospital bookstore, post office, park, restaurant. Teacher shows some pictures of different places and students tell the name of them. Ask students if there are any of these places in their neighborhoods,and asks students to finish the task in 2a--Check the places near your home,then tell us. Students answer the question: there is a ____ in my neighborhood. Step Ⅱ: Pre-reading Here are 3 beautiful neighborhoods. Do you like to live here Do you know whose neighborhoods they are Let’s visit their neighborhood! Step Ⅲ: While-reading Fast reading ①.Read the passages(3min). Match each passage with a map.(Reading strategy1:skimming--read the passage quickly to find the key words.) ②Check the answers. (Answers: 1. Lisa 2. Anna 3.
