1. Most of us are aware that we must take care of the environment, and the majority of us take steps to save energy and reduce waste and pollution.

2) majority常与of连用，后接复数可数名词。
a. 当“ majority of+复数名词”作主语时，谓语动词一般用复数。
b. 当“majority of +集体名词”作主语时，谓语动词用单、复数均可。
