Last year, a few ladies took photos in Xunpu and shared them online. In the photos, their hair was tied into buns (发髻) and they wore wreaths (花环). W: Yes, there were. Many of us brought lots of food, such as Italian pizza, fried noodles, Japanese sushi, Chinese dumplings and so on. The smell was sweet, and my mouth started watering.
M: That was really wonderful. And you could learn about cultures from different countries. Did you try some food
W: Of course. My friends tried Indian beef curry first. It was pretty hot, but we liked it very much.
M: What did you do in the afternoon
W: There was a cooking competition. Many of my classmates took part in it. They made their own dishes. Three teachers tasted the food and gave marks.
M: What an interesting activity! Who won the first place
W: My good friend, Wang Ping did.
M: What about you, Li Hua You are really good at cooking.
W: I was so nervous that I didn’t add any salt.
M: I’m sorry to hear that. Never mind. You will do better next time.
W: I think I will.
