教材解读
单元主题属于“人与自然”范畴，涉及“热爱与敬畏自然，与自然和谐共生”。
本单元的核心语言主要围绕参观农场以及农场的植物和动物展开，涉及参观农场时的语言，如询问动植物（yard, What is this/that /What are these/those ）、动物的名称（goose, rabbit, baby chickens, duck），植物的名称（tomato plants, apple trees, potato plants）、动植物的数量（count, another, how many）等。三种不同的语篇涉及不同的语篇知识，对话语篇以问答的形式为线索组织信息；颂歌语篇以事件发展的时间顺序组织语篇；说明语篇以问答的形式介绍了福星叔叔的农场。
该单元旨在培养学生认识常见的农作物和动物，了解自然，亲近自然，了解生活中常见的农作物，对自然有敬畏之心，能培养学生热爱农村、回归自然的美好情怀。农村是一个广阔的天地，那里不仅有山有水、有树木有庄稼，更有一大批淳朴善良的农人，他们春种秋播，披星戴月，以脚下的土地为画布，描绘着未来美好的生活蓝图。让学生欣赏到田野
美丽的自然风光，培养学生热爱家乡、热爱祖国的美好情操。可以培养学生尊重劳动者、珍惜粮食的意识。亲身体会农民生产每一粒粮食的艰辛，体会到粮食的来之不易，培养学生勤劳，吃苦，担当，责任等美好品德。

3.创编一段对话，与同伴角色扮演，询问农场的动植物及其数量，阐述能够了解常见的农作物的重要意义。
4. 能正确认读五个元音字母，认识并能默写元音字母在闭音节中的音标，学会区分元音字母在单词中的不同发音。
5. 完成一份习作，根据所给的提示介绍农场，并在班级中分享和介绍，并思考了解大自然的意义。
6.设计一个自己的农场，并画出农场的图片，配以文字加以说明和介绍，内容包括农场的动植物、数量及颜色。

1.Listen to the numbers and repeat.
2.Listen and write down the numbers you hear. Let’s check the answers.

Step4 Role play
According to the pictures and try to role play the conversation among Helen, Fuxing’s grandpa and Peter. You’ve got 4 minutes to practice with your partner and show yourselves in front of the class. Try to be focused on the language you used.
Step5Group work
Work in groups and talk about Fu xing’s grandfather’s yard, talk about the plants and animals in the picture in 1a and make your own conversation.

【教学过程】
Step 1 教师告诉同学项目的内容“Design your own farm”，并告诉同学项目的要求，分发任务单。教师设计并按照班级人数打印《项目学习工作表》和《组内成员互评表》。
Step 2 教师向学生介绍项目学习的目的、方法和预期的学习成果。
Step 3 学生在教师的引导下想象拥有的一个农场，和小组的同伴进行讨论，讨论农场的动植物、数量及颜色。
Step 4教师引导小组内的每名学生要思考可能提出的问题，和小组同伴讨论农场要拥有的物品、动物的数量及其颜色，观察学生能否积极地投入讨论之中。
Step 5 学生写出回答想象中农场的相关问题
农场中拥有动物和植物是什么？

Step 6 学生在充分讨论并完成对农场中想象的内容，在班级前进行汇报和分享，内容包括农场中动物和植物的数量及颜色，在班级前分享农场及选择这些动物的原因，至少找三组同学来到班级前进行分享。
Step 7教师要求学生根据农场图片的内容，运用自己的语言描述农场，学生在对自己农场描述的过程中，可以参考范文内容，运用准确的语言，对所绘制的农场图片进行描述。如使用句型作者在描述农场时，运用了感官动词“Look”抓住了读者的注意力；运用了“This is...”、“You can see....”、“He has pigs, horses, cows, ducks...”等陈述句型介绍了农场的动物；运用了问答的形式，对农场鸭子的数量进行了描写，“How many duck does my uncle have ...Let me count....”；运用了问答的形式对彼得叔叔的房子进行了描写，“Do you see the red house That’s my uncle’s home”.；最后建议以疑问句作为开放性的结尾，
