学情分析 本节课的教学对象是中学七年级的学生。他们的年龄在13岁左右表现欲强，喜欢直观形象的图片。因此本课采用了灵活多样的教学方法，并配以精美图片，增强学生的兴趣。关于weather这一话题，学生在小学五年下册已经学习了 What’s the weather like 和What season do you like best 这两节课，对于天气和季节的描述都有一定的了解。
教学目标 知识与能力：帮助学生理解本单元的核心词汇和句子并在练习中对其予以巩固。 过程与方法：通过不同类型的练习，如表格，任务阅读和总结知识点的方式，加强学生对知识点的记忆。 根据表格填空介绍自己家乡的季节的特点。 情感与价值观：意识到自己家乡不同季节的不同特点，并意识到中国的广阔，进而热爱自己的家乡以及国家。
教学重点 词汇：heavy, comfortable,quite... 句型:It is +adj.+to do sth. In the south of China a very +adj.+可数名词单数 quite a/an +adj.+可数名词单数 3.语篇：介绍自己的家乡的秋季的特点
教学难点 在理解课文的基础上，能够用自己的语言介绍自己家乡的不同季节的特点。

教学过程 Step1:Review Review the words which we learnt last week by playing a game. Teacher show the pictures to students. They should speak out and write down the words (carriage, telephone, wing, wheel, passenger, candles,mobile phone, lamp） Step2:lead-in By asking students some questions to help they review the inventions in our daily life. How do you go to school everyday (Car,bus,bike) How do you keep in touch with your friends (wechat, mobile phone, telephone) Why can you see everything clearly at night (lamp,light ) Step3：pre-reading Ask students to look at the title and the pictures and then answer an easy question. What three inventions will the article talk about 学生通过猜测图片所代表的单词，回忆起上节课所讲述过的单词。同时锻炼学生的口语、听力以及书写的能力 以问题的方式让学生回忆起在我们日常生活中所存在的发明，并发现这些发明之间的共同点。 进而激发学生探索的欲望，激发其阅读兴趣 通过对文章标题以及图片的观察，让学生初步了解本文的中心思想
Pre-reading
While- reading Step1:Teach students a new reading skill—skimming. And then let them answer some questions by using the skimming just in 3min. Let Ss know some basic information. Then play the tape, Ss should listen to it and answer the questions at the same time. Who is the inventor of the wheel When did the people start to use the wheel How did the wheels change our life Can you make some examples At last, summarize the answers to the questions in a table way. the telephone Play the tape again, but this time Ss should finish the table directly. the light bulb Ask one student to read the article for others.
