New Year’s money is one of the traditions for Chinese New Year. After the New Year’s dinner, the elders must give New Year’s money to the younger generations. It is said that the New Year’s money can suppress evil spirits, and the younger generations can spend the first year peacefully with the money.
压岁钱是一个有趣的春节习俗之一，年夜饭后长辈要将事先准备的压岁钱分给晚辈，据说压岁钱可以压住邪祟，晚辈得到压岁钱就可以平平安安度过一年。
New Year's Eve money traditionally means warding off evil spirits and blessing peace.
压岁钱在民俗文化中寓意辟邪驱鬼，保佑平安。

2、回答问题请举手，禁止交头接耳。别人回答问题时请认真倾听。
