butterflies in my stomach,I breathed deeply and then opened it expectantly.However,much to my disappointment,
it was nothing like the one that we saw at the store.She wore a plain skirt with a simple face.Her black woolen
hair was pulled back in a pony tail,with no shiny tiara at all,not to mention the crystal shoes.
In a word,the doll was nothing like Cinderella;she looked more like her ugly stepsister.But I could see my
mother watching me,with an eager look on her face.Thinking of mom staying up late into the night making the
doll for me,I knew mom would be sad if she knew what I really felt.Hiding my disappointment,I shouted with
delight,"She's hard to resist!Thanks,Mom!"A relieved smile appeared on my mother's face.From time to time,
I would take the"ugly stepsister"out and admire it.It is a reminder of my mother's love.Her love attached to the
doll will make me happy even if things don't always tick all the right boxes.
