3. What is the man probably doing
A. Driving a car.
B. Riding a bike.
C. Entering the school.

24. What is the author’s main argument on the teaching of mathematics
A. Mathematics should be taken more seriously.
B. The traditional approach needs to be revised.
C. A focus on real-world applications is proposed.
D. Students should have their personalized methods.
Mathematics has an image problem: too many people stumble over it and conclude that the subject is just not for them. But the core problems I suppose is how maths is presented as cold and dry.
I have a different approach which is to relate abstract maths to questions of politics and social justice. I have taught fairly maths-phobic art students in this way and have seen their attitudes transformed. They now embrace maths and even believe it can genuinely assist them.
B篇
25. Which of the following can be the likely statement in the third paragraph
A. All cats are mammals.
B. No hard workers are losers.
C. All immigrants are illegal.
D. No students like mathematics.
At a basic level, maths is founded on logic, so when I am teaching logic, I use examples from contemporary events rather than the old-fashioned type of problem. Instead of studying the logic of a statement like “all dogs have four legs”, I might discuss the statement like “___________”. However, rather than sticking to this type of dry mathematical example, I introduce issues like privilege and wealth—If someone has a higher status, are they automatically wealthier We can also ask about working hours and income: if someone works more hours, do they necessarily earn more The answer is clearly not.
B篇
26. How does the author respond to the criticism
A. He compromises by emphasizing his teaching goals.
B. He dismisses it as irrelevant to his teaching approach.
C. He admits that maths should be non-political and solely focus on numbers.
D. He suggests social issue discussion be essential for comprehensive education.
My approach is controversial because, traditionally, maths is supposed to be neutral. I have been criticized by people claiming my approach will be annoying to those who don’t care about social justice. However, the dry approach is also off-putting to those who do care. Sometimes, such society-oriented questions may benefit the well-rounded development of the students.
B篇
In fact, I believe that all academic disciplines should address our most important issues. I don’t demand that students agree with me about politics, but I do ask that they construct thorough arguments to back up their thoughts and develop the crucial ability to analyze the logic of people they disagree with.
Maths isn’t just about numbers and equations (方程式); it is about studying different logical systems. We can apply it to balls rolling down different hills, but we can also apply it to pressing social issues. I think we should do both, for the sake of society and to be more inclusive towards different types of students in maths education.
27. What skill does the author hope his students should gain
A. Quick and accurate equation-solving.
B. Using math concepts across various fields.
C. Crafting logical arguments for their perspectives.
D. Working together to build a more inclusive society.
C篇
“He loved to experiment, and each of his paintings is completely different technically,”said Victor Gonzalez, a chemist who has studied the chemical element of several works by Leonardo and other artists. The researchers found a rare lead compound (铅化合物) — plumbonacrite, in Leonardo’s first layer of paint. The discovery proved that da Vinci most likely used lead oxide to thicken and help dry his paint. The paint in the study is about the thickness of a human hair, lying in the top right area of the painting.
28.What technique did da Vinci potentially use in the Mona Lisa
A. The employment of tailored X-rays.
B. The application of a rare lead compound.
C. A special mixture of oil paints.
D. The universal use of atomic structures.
29. What does the use of plumbonacrite suggest about Leonardo's painting approach
A. Willingness to experiment.
B. Giving priority to conventions.
C. Technically identical output.
D. Concentration on paint drying.
C篇
Rembrandt, the Dutch master, may have employed a similar blend in his 17th-century paintings. Gonzalez and fellow researchers have also detected plumbonacrite in his art. It's believed that Leonardo used lead oxide powder, which has an orange color, to thicken his oil paint and speed up drying. “What you will get is an oil that has a very nice golden color,” Gonzalez said. “It flows more like honey.”
But the Mona Lisa — said by the Louvre to be a portrait (肖像) of Lisa Gherardini, the wife of a Florentine silk businessman — There's more to her gaze than meets the eye. “What we are saying is just a little brick in the knowledge,” Gonzalez said.
30. What is Gonzalez’s attitude towards the use of lead oxide powder
A.Dismissive. B.Objective. C.Doubtful. D.Favorable.
31.What can we infer about the Mona Lisa from the last paragraph
A. It still holds secrets yet to be uncovered.
B. It echoes the realities of the worldly life.
C. It’s a perfect combination of old and new.
D. It serves as the key to understanding Leonardo.

D篇
Psychologists have defined nostalgia as a self-conscious, social emotion, bittersweet but dominantly positive. It comes from our happy memories and our desire to go back to the past and reconnect with the people we cared about. Often, nostalgia involves sensory stimuli. On some occasions, the smell of autumn leaves might generate a fierce longing for your childhood home. Almost everyone can experience nostalgia, although its object tends to vary throughout life. One survey conducted by the psychologist Krystine Irene Batcho found that younger people felt more nostalgia for pets, toys, and holidays than did older people, who felt it more strongly for music.
32. Why does the author mention “autumn leaves” in the second paragraph
A. To illustrate the complexity of nostalgia.
B. To emphasize the joyful nature of nostalgia.
C. To clarify nostalgia’s connection to our senses.
D. To stress individual variety of experiencing nostalgia.
stimulate stimulus-stimuli
something that causes growth or activity:
D篇
In contrast to its links to negative emotions, nostalgia doesn't make us sadder. Rather, nostalgia is a defensive response to unhappiness, one that brings relief from a negative mood. Research from 2006 shows that nostalgia can actually strengthen social ties, improve self-esteem, and uplift our mood. Other studies suggest that it can also enhance our view of life's meaning, reduce fear of death, boost spirituality, and increase optimism.
33.What is paragraph 3 mainly about
A. The mismatch between two findings.
B. The potential benefits of nostalgia.
C. The impact of nostalgia on personal mood.
D. The mechanisms behind nostalgia’s effects.
D篇
34.What does the author suggest us do in paragraph 4
A.Create shared traditions for bonding and joy. B. Record the social gatherings regularly.
C. Recognize the unnecessary social gatherings. D. Say no to the concept of escapism.
Scholars remain uncertain about the precise mechanism behind the effectiveness of nostalgia; however, some suggest that reflecting on joyful memories strengthens our sense of self-worth and belonging, particularly during times of loneliness or self-doubt. Its power lets the happiness of the past overcome the current unpleasantness, offering a bit of escape from tough times. To form stronger connections, we can establish traditions around shared past experiences in families, friend groups, and workplaces. Observing special occasions like childhood sports or post-college meetups can give us something to look forward to.
D篇
35. Which of the following is the best title for the text
A. Nostalgia: Why We Should Avoid Reflecting on the Past
B. Nostalgia: A Shelter Against the Unhappiness of Our Life
C. A Nostalgia Warning: Our Mental Health Being Attacked
D. Power of Nostalgia: Struggling for an Irreplaceable Present
In contrast to its links to negative emotions, nostalgia doesn't make us sadder. Rather, nostalgia is a defensive response to unhappiness, one that brings relief from a negative mood.

短小精悍,多为一短语;
涵盖性强,一般要求能覆盖全文,其确定的范围要恰当,既不能太大,也不能太小;

Practicing mindfulness and stress management techniques, such as yoga or meditation, can also help in achieving emotional balance.

Inspired by their creativity, we began to brainstorm ways to enhance our own booth. After a heated discussion, we decided to adopt a similar theme, but with a unique twist. Our booth would become a 'Tour of Sweets: A Journey Through Time'. Each member would present a historical sweet from a different era, ranging from ancient civilizations to modern innovations. We worked tirelessly to prepare for the transformation. Our booth was adorned with ancient Egyptian decorations for the earliest known desserts, and Renaissance-style tablecloths for the sweets of that period. We even set up a small 'time machine' prop to add to the immersive experience. As the visitors approached, they were not just purchasing desserts, but taking a trip through the history of sweetness.
What method did we employ
续段2
As the day drew to a close, it was clear that our efforts had paid off. The crowd at our booth was just as large as the neighboring one, with people lining up to experience our unique take on the 'Taste of the World' theme. We received countless compliments on our creativity and the effort we put into making our booth a memorable experience. The fair concluded with a sense of pride and accomplishment. Not only had we matched our competitors in popularity, but we had also learned the power of innovation and teamwork. The bake sale was a sweet success that we would remember for years to come.
Other good sentences
We set up small flags and posters displaying the countries represented by our dishes, creating an immersive experience for visitors.
To top it off, as the sun set on the school fair, our booth was declared the most popular one, beating the neighboring class by a narrow margin. The sense of accomplishment and teamwork filled our hearts, and we celebrated our victory, knowing that we had not only improved our booth but also learned the value of creativity, adaptability, and embracing cultural diversity.

M: Well, I learned in a hurry. Because my family needed my help. I was daddy's only son at that time. Robert came 15 years after I did . It was during the depression years when any income was helpful .Today, things are different.
W: Do you think though that we underestimate our children now We seem to treat them as children for a very long time.
M: I think so. Sharing some housework should be good for the healthy growth of our children.
W: Your father emerges as a powerful human being throughout your book. Would you like to talk more about him

W: Hi everyone! This is Alice ,I can't believe that i'm actually here in France. There are six students in my class, we're staying in the home of a French couple in the Jura mountains. Mr. and Mrs. Garcia are artists. And they teach an art class just for us every morning. I'm learning some wonderful painting techniques. Later in the day, we visit local villages and paint what we see. The house we are staying in is so lovely. Mrs. Garcia's family built it in the 18th century. I've never seen anything like it. It looks like something from a film. It's very large, and all the rooms have glass doors. I spend a lot of time in the garden in front of the house. It has become my favorite place, because it's so quiet. Sometimes I just sit there for hours till the sun sets. I've never had an experience like this.2024年7月浙江省培优联盟高三仿真卷

Which fruit personality are you
In the workplace, we have to be able to deal with people who aren’t like us. No one will change for you, so you just have to respect their differences. When identifying personality types, I like to talk in terms of fruit. Nobody is just one fruit, but we all have a preference. And we tend to emphasize our top two, especially under pressure. Here are some fruit personalities and how best to deal with them.
Types Introduction&Management
Apple: Hard Core Apple types are direct and don’t suffer fools. They are fast, logical thinkers who love to win and hate to lose control. They’ll get a result at any cost, but see conflict as sport. Always stand up to them.
Get to the point.
Don’t take it personally.
Watch and learn from them.
Mango: Juicy and Messy Mango types love life and can’t afford to miss a minute. They love variety because they tend to be easily distracted and naturally rule breakers. Talk big picture, avoid details.
Give them false deadlines.
Don’t micro-manage.
Lemon: Concentrated Lemon types love structureand order. They are worriers who like security and predictability. They excel at spotting gaps in a plan. But too many rules can also be frustrating. Respect their need for space.
Don’t surprise them.
Listen with respect.
Show your pace.
Banana: Sweet and Gentle Banana types enjoy peace and shy away from conflicts. They are kind to react to others’ requests. However, when they are too accommodating, they can be seen as indecisive. Don’t pressure them, motivate.
Create a positive environment.
Encourage regular feedback.
Be nice to them.
21. What dopeople of Mango and Lemon personalities have in common
A. They both prefer private space and specific deadlines.
B. They both dislike being restricted by excessive rules.
C. They both serve as good ice-breakers of the workplace.
D. They both need regular feedback and being motivated.
22. Who probably favors the Banana Personality
A. Jack, an innovative thinker who is willing to face challenges.
B. Adam, a brilliant planner who always sticks to his daily routines.
C. Nancy, a patient worker who prioritizes harmonious relationships.
D. Robin, an open-minded leader who advocates the value of diversity.
23. Where can the passage probably be found
A. In an academic paper. B. In an entertainment book.
C. In a book review. D. In a psychology magazine.
B
Mathematics has an imageproblem: too many people stumble over it and conclude thatthe subject is justnot for them. But the core problems I suppose is how maths is presented as cold and dry.
I have a different approachwhich is to relate abstract mathsto questions of politics and socialjustice.I have taught fairlymaths-phobic art students inthis way and have seen their attitudes transformed. They now embrace maths and even believe it can genuinely assist them.
At a basic level, maths isfounded on logic, so when I amteachinglogic,I use examples from contemporary events rather than the old-fashioned type ofproblem.Instead of studyingthe logic of a statement like “alldogs have four legs”, I mightdiscuss thestatement like “___________”. However, rather than sticking to this type of dry mathematical example, I introduce issues like privilege and wealth—If someonehas a higher status, are they automatically wealthier We can also ask about working hours and income: if someone works more hours, do they necessarily earn more The answer is clearly not.
24. What is the author’s main argument on the teaching of mathematics
A. Mathematics should be taken more seriously.
B. The traditional approach needs to be revised.
C. A focus on real-world applications is proposed.
D. Students should have their personalized methods.
25. Which of the following can be the likely statement in the third paragraph
A. All cats are mammals. B. No hard workers are losers.
C. All immigrants are illegal. D. No students like mathematics.
27. What skill does the author hope his students should gain
A. Quick and accurate equation-solving.
B. Using math concepts across various fields.
C. Crafting logical arguments for their perspectives.

The Mona Lisa is the famous Leonardo da Vinci painting of a woman with a mysterious smile. This week, the woman parted her lips to whisper an ancient secret.
Scientists using X-rays to examine the chemical structure of a small part of the painting discovered a technique Leonardo used in the work. An oil paint used for it was a special, new chemical mixture, which suggests that the Italian artist was in an experimental mood when he worked on the painting in the 16th century.
The scientists looked into its atomic(原子的) structure using X-rays, moving particles at the speed of light, permitting researchers to look deeper into the paint structure. “ Plumbonacrite is really a fingerprint of his recipe, as it’s the first time we can chemically confirm it,” Gonzalez said.

C. A special mixture of oil paints. D. The universal use of atomic structures.
29. What does the use of plumbonacrite suggest about Leonardo's painting approach
A. Willingness to experiment. B. Giving priorityto conventions.
C. Technically identical output. D. Concentration on paint drying.
30. What is Gonzalez’s attitude towards the use of lead oxide powder
A.Dismissive. B.Objective. C.Doubtful. D.Favorable.

Do you ever find yourself randomly thinking back to the times we wandered, collecting wildflowers and smiling beneath the sky That feeling is often referred to as nostalgia(怀旧).
Perhaps because it is so powerful and complex, nostalgia has received magical treatment from poets and writers. “The past is hidden somewhere outside the realm(领域), beyond the reach of intellect,” Marcel Proust wrote.

A. The mismatch betweentwo findings.
B. The potential benefits of nostalgia.
C. Theimpact of nostalgia on personal mood.
D.Themechanisms behind nostalgia’s effects.
34.What does the author suggest us do in paragraph 4
A.Create shared traditions for bonding and joy. B. Record the social gatherings regularly.
C. Recognize the unnecessary social gatherings. D. Say no to the concept of escapism.

The school year was coming to a close, and the air was filled with anticipation for the upcoming annual school fair. Our class had eagerly decided to host a bake sale, with each student ready to contribute their favorite recipes.
Spirits were high. Every spare moment was devoted to perfecting the art of baking, from experimenting with different flavors to mastering the art of cake decorations. Our classroom became a hub of activity, filled with the sweet scent of freshly baked goods and the sound of laughter and chatter.
The day of the fair finally arrived, and our table was beautifully decorated with a mouthwatering baked goods. There were freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, warm and crispy, alongside homemade fruit pies. The attractive scent was irresistible, and it wasn't long before a long line of students and parents formed, their eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
However, as the morning wore on, we couldn't help but notice that the neighboring class’s booth(摊位) was appealing to a significantly larger crowd. There was a buzz of excitement surrounding their table, and it was clear that they were onto something special.
Among our class, a sense of healthy competition began to emerge. Sarah, our natural leader, suggested we step up our game. “We need to find out what they're doing differently and improve our booth,” she said with determination. Out of curiosity, we sent our most inquisitive member, Mark, to investigate.
Soon, Mark returned with good news. “They've got a ‘Taste of the World’ theme going on over there,” Mark reported. “They’re serving up a variety of international desserts, and it’s quite the hit!”
We were intrigued by the idea and asked Mark for more details. He went on to explain that the students had gone the extra mile by dressing up in traditional costumes from the countries they were representing. “It's like a cultural feast for the senses,” he added with enthusiasm.

Caring Too Much About Others' Opinions
Many students grapple with the issue of caring deeply about what others think of them. Often, it leads to self-doubt and anxiety, impacting their self-esteem and daily life.
This concern can stem from a strong desire for social acceptance and fear of rejection. Another reason for this sensitivity is the formative stage of identity development during adolescence. Peer influence is also a significant factor, as teenagers often seek validation from their social circle to fit in.
To overcome this challenge, my suggestion is to cultivate self-awareness and self-acceptance. Engaging in activities that build confidence, such as hobbies and sports, can also be beneficial. It's essential to remember that everyone has unique qualities, and embracing individuality is crucial for personal growth and happiness. Let's encourage our peers to be true to themselves and not let the opinions of others define their self-worth.
Mood swings
Mood swings are a common psychological challenge among teenagers, characterized by sudden and extreme changes in emotions. The primary reason for mood swings is the hormonal changes that occur during adolescence, which can affect emotional regulation. Additionally, the pressure to perform well academically and socially can contribute to emotional instability.
To manage mood swings, my advice is to maintain a balanced lifestyle with regular physical activity, a healthy diet, and adequate sleep. Practicing mindfulness and stress management techniques, such as yoga or meditation, can also help in achieving emotional balance. It's also important for teenagers to seek support from friends, family, or counselors when they're feeling overwhelmed.

Inspired by their creativity, we began to brainstorm ways to enhance our own booth. After a heated discussion, we decided to adopt a similar theme, but with a unique twist. Our booth would become a 'Tour of Sweets: A Journey Through Time'. Each member wouldpresent a historical sweet from a different era, ranging from ancient civilizations to modern innovations.

I've never had an experience like this.
