Module11课文知识点总结
1.Here's your gift. 这是给你的礼物。 （倒装句）
here/ there位于句首，当主语是名词时，主语谓语要倒装；
当主语是人称代词时，主语谓语不用倒装。
e.g. Look! Here comes the bus. （n.）看！公共汽车来了。
Here we are at the hotel. （人称pron.）我们到旅馆了。
2.I don't think I should open it now. 我觉得我不应该现在打开它。（否定前移）
I don't think 是主句，I should open it now是宾语从句
否定前移：如果主句的谓语动词是believe, think, suppose, expect，主句的主语又是第一人称且时态是一般现在时，那么主句后的宾语从句的否定词通常要移到主句中，即否定主句中的谓语动词
e.g. I don't believe he tells lies. 我认为他没有说谎。
3.Afternoon tea is not just a drink but a light meal at around 4 pm. 下午茶不仅是喝茶，还是下午四点左右的一顿便餐。
not just...but...不仅......还......
该结构可连接两个并列的主语、谓语、宾语、表语、状语，侧重点在后一部分。
连接两个并列主语时，谓语动词应同靠近的主语在人称上保持一致。
e.g. Not just you but he likes country music very much. 不仅是你，他也很喜欢乡村音乐。
4. Once I noticed a gentleman touch a young man on the shoulder… 有一次我注意到一位绅士拍了拍一位年轻人的肩膀......
（1）notice sb. do sth. 注意到某人做某事（表示注意到动作的全过程或该动作经常发生）
notice sb. doing sth. 注意到某人正在做某事（表示该动作正在进行）
e.g. I noticed him writing when I came in. 我进来时注意到他正在写东西。
（2）touch sb. on the should 拍某人的肩膀
pat sb. on the head 拍某人的头
kick sb. in the leg 踢某人的腿
5.chess n.国际象棋
短语：play chess下国际象棋
6.surprise
（1）n.惊奇，意外之事
to one’s surprise令某人吃惊的是 in surprise惊奇地，吃惊地
（2）v.使（某人）吃惊
e.g. His words greatly surprised me.
7.immediately adv.立刻
同义短语：at once, right now
8.accept v.接受，收受
accept 接受 主观接受，经过考虑愿意接受
receive 收到 客观上收到，不涉及本人是否愿意接受
e.g. She received his gift, but she didn’t accept it.她收到了他的礼物，但她不会接受。
9.serious adj.认真严肃的，不开玩笑的
短语：be serious about 对待......是认真的/真诚的
10..experience cn.经历 un.经验 v.经历，体验
e. g. They are talking about his experiences.
短语：teaching experience 教学经验
Everyone experiences these problems at some time.
11.however adv.但是 （用逗号与句子隔开）
but conj.但是 （其后一般不用逗号）
e.g. However, he can't give up smoking.
I called you, but you didn't answer.
12.be afraid to do sth. 不敢做某事
be afraid of doing sth.害怕做某事/担心发生某事
be afraid of sth./sb. 害怕某物/某人
e.g. The child is afraid to see the doctor.那孩子不敢去看医生。
I’m afraid of meeting him. 我担心遇见他。
He is afraid of his father. 他害怕他的父亲。
13.show
（1）v.展示，显示（可接双宾语）
show sb. sth. = show sth. to sb. 把某物给某人看
注：如果表示物的直接宾语是pron.，则只能用show sth. to sb.
e.g. Your new watch is so cool. Show it to me, please.
（2）n.演出，表演；展览
短语：on show 展览，陈列
