一、文本分析:
该课选自2019年人教版普通高中教材《英语》必修一Unit3 Sports and Fitness Reading and Thinking板块。以下将从“What” “How” “Why”三个维度进行教材分析。
What:本篇文章的主题是“选择你最喜欢的运动员”。作者在本文的引领段中给出了评选体育传奇人物的标准:masters in their sports,set good examples for others,接着正文围绕着这一标准介绍了两位著名运动员:郎平和乔丹。这两名运动员不仅在体育方面取得了令人瞩目的成就,而且还具备很多闪光的个人特质与魅力。文章先对他们的成就和特点做总的描述,然后举例说明他们的优秀品质。
Why: 本篇文章通过介绍两位著名运动员郎平和乔丹的体育精神和优秀品质来突显体育传奇人物的评价标准,旨在让学生崇拜这些体育明星的同时,更应该从这些“模范”身上领会和感悟做人和做事的道理。
How: 本文属于杂志类文章,有明显的标题特征、结构特征和语言特征。且结构清晰,由标题、引领段和正文组成,正文又由小标题引出两个语篇,描述两位体育明星。文章采用排比和夸张等说明方法,写作手法新颖,语言简洁明了,重在传递信息,使学生掌握语篇结构和语言特点,培养其语言能力。
二、学情分析:
本节课的教学对象为高一(8)班的学生,学习态度端正,但英语基础较薄弱。多数学生具备获取细节信息的能力,能够在提示后获取表层信息,但是语言表达能力差,在逻辑推理,分析比对,总结评价等方面的能力较欠缺。因此,这节课的教学设计中,我设计的问题以适应学生的英语水平为主,尽量让问题简单化,让学生在学习过程中拥有成就感,养成自主思考的习惯,从而减退英语难学的思想,对英语产生兴趣。
三、教学目标:
通过本节课的学习,学生能够:
1.利用图片、标题等预测本篇文章内容,获取、梳理本篇文章的结构和段落大意,提高学生的阅读能力。【学习理解活动】
2.基于文本内容的梳理,归纳以郎平、乔丹为代表的体育传奇人物的优秀品质和体育精神,学习他们的游戏品质,并且引导学生使用描述优秀品质的词汇口语复述郎平和乔丹的品质。【应用实践类活动】
3.学生在理解语篇信息的基础上,总结评选标准,介绍自己心目中的体育明星,并给出理由,培养学生理性思考和客观评判的思维品质。【迁移创新活动】
四、教学重难点
1.引导学生通过标题和插图预测文本内容,理解文本信息和结构;帮助学生掌握和运用描述优秀运动员品质的词汇,体会这些真正杰出的运动员作为模范和榜样的力量。
2.学生通过文本信息词汇和句子用英语归纳优秀运动员的品质;学生用英语介绍自己心目中的体育明星,并给出理由。
