教学内容分析及信息结构图 Presenting Ideas 板块要求学生结合本单元所学知识和内容,围绕自然灾害中保持希望的主题讲一个故事。学生需要先上网搜索相关信息,做好笔记,然后以小组为单位进行分享。本板块旨在通过查找、记录和讲述故事,促进学生在真实情境中综合应用所学话题语言,进一步探究本单元的主题意义,帮助学生树立积极乐观的人生态度,扩大学生知识面和丰富其生活常识。 Reflection 板块引导学生在本单元学习过程中和结束时对自己的行为和效果做出评估和分析,对自己的优缺点和得失做出反思,并与教师沟通改进方法。
学情分析 在这一板块要求学生结合本单元所学知识和内容,围绕自然灾害中保持希望的主题讲一个故事。在Developing ideas 板块中,学习的故事正是一个美国家庭遭受飓风袭击后,团结一心战胜自然灾害以及对未来美好生活充满希望,在Using language 板块学习了与自然灾害有关的词汇,这为Presenting ideas 奠定了基础。
课时教学目标 1. 通过完成课本Activity 1, 学生根据主题上网搜索故事,并做笔记,结合课本上的提纲填写相关信息,说出故事的感人之处及给人的启示。 2. 通过完成课本Activity 2,能够运用本单元所学语言做要点笔记,描述某种自然灾害的发生和影响、记述人物的经历和心理情感变化,并说明从中所得的收获以及感受;并对其他学生的故事给与客观评价. 3. 通过完成课本Activity 2和Activity 3,能够对灾难与希望这一主题有更深入的理解,树立积极乐观的人生态度; 4. 通过完成课本Reflection, 学生能从语言能力、思维品质等方面对自己在本单元学习过程中和结束时的学习行为和效果做出合理的评价。
教学重点、难点 1. 引导学生运用本单元所学内容,进行同类话题故事叙述 2. 引导学生在小组内讲述自己的故事给组员听,并对组员的故事给与恰当的反馈。 2. 引导学生进行自我反思,养成自我评价的好习惯。

Step 1 Iw/Cw 1. T guides Ss to review the two stories in this unit. 2. T asks Ss to complete the notes with the information they have searched online before the class. 1. 设计意图: 引导学生了解活动要求,利用课本提纲复习本单元两篇课文中的故事,为后续活动做准备。教师鼓励学生在课前进行预习,课前上网搜索故事,在提纲表格中填写相关信息,思考故事的感人之处及给人的启示。
Step 2 Iw/Gw T asks Ss to work in groups and use the notes in Activity 1 and expressions in the box to tell their stories to other group members. Step 3 Gw 1. T asks Ss to pick out the best story in their group and prepare a short presentation together. 2. T invites some groups to do presentations in class. 3. 设计意图 组内成员相互提建议,对组员的故事给予恰当的反馈,培养学生语言表达能力,并通过小组成员合作达成最终意见,选出代表本小组的故事,小向全班分享选出的故事。
Step 4 Iw T’s Reflection 1. T guides Ss to recall what they’ve learnt in this unit. 2. T asks Ss to complete “Reflection” in the book. 3. T also needs to reflect on the teaching. It’s better to make a summary of it. T can do the reflection by thinking of the following questions: (1) Can Ss understand topics and articles about disaster Can Ss use the language (including words,expression, relevant grammar and writing) learnt to express themselves (2) Can Ss understand natural disasters, disaster prevention, and rescue (3) Can Ss understand human beings' positive and optimistic attitude towards life in the face of natural disasters (4) Can Ss reflect on human factors in natural disasters and cultivate awareness of environmental protection and disaster prevention Ss’ Reflection 1. Ss rate their performance in this unit, summarize what they’ve learnt and think about what they need to improve. 2. Ss can do it as follows and T gives them help if needed. (1) Ss rate their performances in studies according to the given contents in the book. (2) Ss make a summary of what they have learnt about the unit. (3) Ss come up with some ways to make some improvements after the self-evaluation and self-analysis. (4) Ss communicate with the T to explore ways to make improvements and better learning strategies according to the results of self-evaluation. To guide Ss to rate their performance, review the unit, and think about ways to make improvements.
设计意图 本环节是整个单元的总体回顾和反思,让学生利用元认知策略了解自己的收获与不足,及时与教师交流,探讨改进方法,优化学习策略。同时教师可以反思教学过程中的不足,不断提高自己的教学水平。
板书设计
案例解析 本节课要求学生讲一个关于自然灾害中保持希望的故事。学生需要搜集相关信息,并运用本单元所学的语言点,与同学分享故事,并对其他同学的故事进行适当的反馈。让学生在故事中,感受正能量,学习主人公面对灾害时永不放弃的精神,对生活充满希望,让学生加深对这一单元主题的理解。同时引导学生回顾本单元所学,及时对自己的学习行为和效果做出评估和判断,反思并改进。
