Ss look at the picture to predict the main idea.
Ⅳ. While-reading
Activity1: Skimming: Ss look through the passage and answer the questions:
(1) What conflict does the son have with his father P34
Answer: Whether the son will go to university and his future career.
What is the genre of this passage What elements does it include
Answer: A play. A play is a story performed on a stage. It has a plot, settings, characters and actions, as well as dialogue between characters.
Activity 2. Scanning: Ss read the passage for the second time and finish the table on the book. P37
Activity 3. Ss read the passage for the third time and answer some detail questions:
(1) What did the son plan to do after high school graduation
Answer: He wanted to focus on his band and have a career in music.
