Step 2 Before listening Listening tip: Use visuals to predict content Discuss what message you can get from each of the posters. Possible answers: Poster 1 :Many animals are dying out because of illegal hunting. If we don’t stop it, we humans may die out eventually. So,shoot animals with a camera, not a gun. Poster 2 : A number of wildlife species are becoming extinct at an alarming rate.Thus, we should pay attention to such a shocking problem. Poster 3: We should call on people to (呼吁) stop having shark fin soup because so many sharks end up(最终) dead each year . Remember, what you drink is not soup but life. Conclude the message the three posters share. Many wildlife species are in danger of and it's time to save or them before they . Purpose: Learn more about the present situation of endangered animal while at the same time get students to learn new words and phrases in contexts. Step 3 While- listening Deal with Exercise 2 in the textbook (1) Read the text and predict the missing words before listening. (2) Then Listen and check the answers. Deal with Exercise 3 in the textbook Circle the key words before listening. Listen to find out the answers to the two questions. Listen again and fill in the blanks with no more than 3 words. Discuss the questions and offer possible measures. Q1: According to the details ,“In his speech, Prince William also praised China's efforts to protect wildlife....” and “Remember: Change begins with you.”Who should and can do something for wildlife protection Q 2: How can the government and individuals protect endangered wildlife Give possible measures. Step 4 Post-listening —Make a speech Get the structure of a speech through analyzing the listening material.
