课标要求 This section asks students to read a fable-The Stone in the Road Then students are guided to write a review of the fable. In the fable, a king placed a large stone in the middle of the road and hid gold coins under the stone in order to test his people's attitude and reaction towards the obstacle. Many people simply complained about the stone but they were unwilling to remove it. In the end, a young girl moved away the stone and received both gold coins and praise from the king. The plot of the fable is simple but perfectly reveals its educational theme and profound insights.
教学目标 (核心素养) At the end of this section, students will be able to: obtain and sort out the facts and structure of a fable story. Know the purpose of the author and give clear opinion to make comment on a person. write a review of the fable and share opinions about a moral story.
教学重点 Get the writing purpose and structure of a review.
教学难点 Write a review of the moral fable based on the given outline.
