内容分析 本课是Unit 10 的写作课。要求学生根据学校或社区发生的事件写一则新闻报道,属于“人与社会”的主题。学生通过阅读范文获取新闻报道文本结构,和报道中新闻六要素内容,并总结归纳标题、导语的特点,以及新闻报道文体语言特征,辨识程度副词在新闻报道中的作用,最终完成写作任务。
教学目标 获取新闻报道中六要素内容,并总结文体结构; 辨识标语、导语的特点,总结新闻报道的语言特征; 总结程度副词对新闻报道语言语气的作用; 分析、整理自己的信息,完成写作任务。
教学重点 获取、归纳新闻报道的文体结构和语言特征; 分析初稿,并依据Writing Help 进行修改完善。
教学难点 总结新闻报道标题和导语的特点; 完成新闻报道的撰写。

Activity 1 T presents some photos depicting the sports meeting held in school and ask some questions. 1. Ss look at the photos, memorize something about the sports meeting and answer questions. ①When and where was the sports meeting held ②Who participated in the sports meeting ③What were the events in the sports meeting ④What prizes did students in your class get in the sports meeting ⑤What do you think of the sports meeting 1. Activate prior knowledge. 2. Prepare for the next steps.
Activity 2 1. T guides Ss to think about how to write a news report about the sports meeting. 1. Ss answer the questions. ①What aspects are you going to include ② How is a news report normally organized
Activity 3 T asks Ss to read the sample news report on Page 18. Ss read the sample news report and answer the questions. What event is the report about When and where did the event happen Who attended the event and what did they do What did the event bring to the community Acquire basic information of the news report.
Activity 4 T presents some elements of the news report and guide Ss to label them in the sample news report. Ss read the sample news report again and label the elements in it. Summarize the structure of the news report.
Activity 5 T asks Ss to read the sample news report again to underline all the expressions to show the event was successful. Ss read the sample news report to underline the expressions and share their answers. Identify the language features of the news report. .
Activity 6 T picks out some Adverbs of Degree in the sample news report. Ss read the Adverbs of Degree and tell their functions in the sentences.
Activity 7 T shows the photos of the sports meeting again and asks Ss to discuss about the outline of their news report. Ss work in groups of 4 to discuss the outline of their news report. Help Ss build relationship between contents and structure
Activity 8 T presents the Writing Help. Ss write the first draft with the help of the Writing Help. Consolidate and apply what have been learnt.
Activity 9 T asks Ss to evaluate how well they’ve learnt. Ss complete the table of self-evaluation. Reflect how well they’ve learnt.
