活动要求 活动认知分析 实施建议及说明
1.Look at the sentences and expressions from the reading passage. Match the words in bold to the types of word formation.(见教材P17) ★阅读文章中的句子并观察一些短语词汇,理解它们所用的构词法的类型; ★活动属于获取与梳理; ★通过观察,比较、归纳词的构成方式,为后面进一步理解意义、总结规律做好铺垫。 建议1:展示学生熟悉的词汇,让学生初步感知词的不同构成方式。 说明:从学生熟悉的词汇开始,有利于学生理解。 建议2:在实施本活动时,主要让学生观察,比较并配对选择,尽管有abbreviating, prefix, suffix,combining等生词。对于比较薄弱的班级,教师可以辅以汉语帮助学生理解。 说明:有利于学生形成系统的构词法知识。教师可以列成表格将不同构词法的名称和定义区分开来。
Look for more examples of each type in the reading passage.(见教材P17) ★从文中找出每种构词法更多的例子: ★活动属于内化与运用: ★通过在文章中寻找更多例子,让学生熟悉各种构词法的特点,以便于运用构词法知识熟练识别单词,减少语言障碍。
2.Complete the passage with the help of word formation.(见教材P17) ★运用四种构词法知识,根据上下文提示,填入相应的词的形式; ★活动属于内化与运用; ★这个活动既有利于学生再次巩固己归纳的四种构词法知识,又有利于知识的运用,相辅相成。 建议:除了在构词法知识的帮助下用词填空,教师还要借助此语篇,让学生认识到构词法在英语学习中的重要性,梳理词汇学习的方法,建立语言学习的自信。
3.Work in groups.Choose one type and come up with as many words as possible. (见教材P17) ★运用己学构词法知识,找出更多不同类型的词汇; ★活动属于内化与运用; ★巩固所学,开展知识的运用活动,用比赛的形式调动学生学习的积极性。 建议1:小组活动,根据已学构词法知识,对已学词汇进行归类,开展比赛。活动可以分层进行。 说明:对于比较薄弱的班级可选择1-2项构词法收集词汇,对于学习能力强的班级可对每个类型的词汇都进行收集,并开展比赛,评出“单词王”,甚至还可进行猜词比赛。 建议2:本活动后增加学生评价与本节课总结。 说明:为增强活动的有效性,应加强学生评价。

4.Look at the pictures and get to know the American English words and their British equivalents.Now complete the passage with the words above. (见教材P18) ★学生通过看图学习词汇: ★活动属于感知与注意、获取与梳理: ★图片生动形象,易于学生理解。同时,也为下面谈论英美式英语的差别做好准备。 建议:活动4后、活动5前应增加一个输出活动,用视频、听力或者书面语篇说明英式英语和美式英语在其他方面的差别。 说明:增加学生的背景知识,提高课堂效率。利用课余时间,查阅 资料,增加背景知识,形成书面材料,有利于交流。
5.Work in pairs. Find more examples of differences between American and British English. Use a dictionary or search on the Internet.(见教材P18) ★使用词典或者网络找到更多的英美式英语差异; ★活动属于内化与运用,创造与阐释; ★理解文章所讲英美式英语的差异后,以小组为单位,围绕主题和所形成的知识结构开展识别、判断和阐释等交流活动,逐步实现对语言知识和文化知识的内化,巩固新的知识。同时,此活动还有利于培养学生利用工具和现代信息技术等方式学习。
