学情分析:The students are from Grade 1. After several years of English study, they have mastered basic reading skills. At the same time, the topic of exercise is related to students’ lives, so they will be interested in it. But they lack vocabularies related to the topic. So in this class , I will push them to express and think independently.
教学目标: By the end of this section, students will be able to: Grasp the key words like jogging assume,do wonders, to start with,immune system,moreover... Predict the main idea according to the title, subheadings and pictures Understand the benefits of exercise
教学重难点: Predict the main idea according to the title, subheadings and pictures; Understand the benefits of exercise.
教学过程: Step one: Lead-in Free talk Have students go through the records of We chat between Amy and Susan. T: Look, new message comes! It's Amy! She has a cold for days, and her doctors told her to have more exercise. Just like me, I couldn't speak anymore last week because of the cold, so please take care of yourself. T: Okay, so could you please recommend some sports to Amy T: What sport do you play S: Basketball, rugby, swimming, jogging, skiing, weightlifting, Taichi... T: Wonderful, but Amy is still confused about how to start the exercise. So what can you do I think she needs this one! Let’s have a look! Oh, it's a passage from the health web and it can help Amy do exercise. And today we are going to learn the passage together, so can you read the title for me Step two:Pre-reading 1.Could you predict what kind of information the guide will give p (S: Proper diet, regular exercise, protective equipment, quality sleep...) 2.Predicting tips: 1.Title and pictures: Topic sports 2. Subtitles: main idea some tips to exercise. 3.How many parts does the passage have How many parts does the passage have Step three:While reading Students understand the paragraph one A vedio clip Qs: 1.What's the main idea of paragraph one 2.Find out the linking words To start with/ moreover. Game time quick response Read words loudly and quickly in English. Step Four: Critical thinking What are other benefits can we gain from sports Doing sports can make us stay Stronger and energetic, Positive every day, Obtain energy every day Refreshed every day Think clearly. Homework 1.Copy the new words for 5 times 2.Find more benefits of exercise 3.Do more exercise after class
