解读学生 高一学生经过必修一以及必修二前两个单元的学习,对于论说文已有了一定的了解,对本文的语篇类型已有所掌握。学生对足球这一话题运动有所了解,但对足球运动的规则、起源、历史等却知之不多。总体来说,大部分学生都会对体育运动这一主题语境感兴趣,这对文章的理解有所助益。
语篇研读 语篇是理解板块的文章,语篇类型为论说文,语篇内容分析了足球在全世界流行的三个原因并赋予了相应的例证。全文结构清晰,部分语言有深度,需要学生进行推理判断并研读鉴赏。
教学目标 Teaching objectives: By the end of the class, students can 1.get the main idea of the passage. 2.find and understand the three reasons why football is so popular around the world. 3.think which sports are as popular as football in China and analyse the reasons for their popularity. 4.develop the love for sports and feel a sense of pride for national sports.
教学重、难点 Teaching priority: 1.To get the main idea and some detailed information of the reading passage. 2.To find and understand the three reasons why football is so popular around the world. Teaching obstacles: To analyse the reasons why some certain sports are popular in China.

Step 1 Lead in(Activity 1~2) Activity 1. Option 1:Guessing game. The teacher ask students to guess the names of sports according to the key words and pictures. The key words: Picture 1(Basketball):(1)Play it with hands; (2)Usually a brown Ball;(3)NBA Picture 2(Table Tennis):(1)Small ball has a great impact on Chinese sports;(2)A game for China;(3)Table Picture 3(Volleyball): (1)Chinese dream and Chinese spirits;(2)Famous Coach-Lang Ping Picture 4(Football/Soccer):(1)11 players in a team;(2) Play it with feet;(3)the World Cup Then students answer the question: Which is the most popular game in the world (Football) Option 2: Video watching The teacher show students a short video about the AFC Women's Asian Cup and meanwhile ask students to find the answer to the question:Which country won the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup Activity 2 Information sharing: more information about football The teacher let students share their knowledge of the layout of a football field/pitch, some signs and technical terms in a football game(refer to the picture in the text).
